  1. Can I take this chastity belt off then?
  2. I think that Heathrow is in Zone 4. A Zone 1 to 4 one day Travelcard is less than ?16, even at peak time.
  3. No - It was a guess. "They have been allocated alot of money" is perhaps a more accurate reflection of my knowledge level.
  4. It did get consistently bad reports re service and quality. I too live opposite and never went in.
  5. May be up for the quiz. Sunday afternoon is washing and ironing. Woo.
  6. Where is Barry?
  7. I think that it is OK to ask about where people are from - you can of course get the answer "Burnley", in which case you offer a comforting shoulder. I ask "Were are your roots?" or "Where are your family originally from?".
  8. I will start rubbing winter-green into my steely calves.
  9. "Overcrowded and unreliable" - that would seem to describe all of the London transport system, so we arent much worse off really.
  10. I shall be dressed thus: http://www.thehollywoodnews.com/artman2/uploads/1/ferrell.jpg
  11. I take it your askingabout the guys behind the wheels of steel and not a tuxedo?
  12. WELCOME Kezza! Try sending a Personal message to the Administrator to that effect. Do you really want to be Kezzathelezza!?
  13. OK - but not in my experience
  14. Yes we need a focus for this discussion. SINGLES - do we want to meet up? No pressure re the romance to engagement to marriage to children to mortgage to rows to tears to separation to divorce to huge monthly payments to fathers for justice to despair to mental break down and a trip to Maudsley thing. All those who said "Im up for it" and those who thought it, shall we meet up, informally like?
  15. Bloody hell, calm down. Its only a wine bar, its not an A&E Department after all. I too find myself in conflict with those that would like ED to be like it was in the "good old days" when the place was on its arse and everybody was malnurished and made match boxes for a living. Keef doesnt happen to be one of those people. He is (unusually) an actual "local" (unlike most of us including me) and in my experience, has always enjoyed and respected the best of the past and the present. He doesnt use the G&B as so is possibly able to be a little more objective about it than some of us. Instinctively I am pro-G&B. I like their wine (especially on a Tuesday), I like the ambience of the place, the food and the staff (especially Rebecca, the foxiest bar person on the Lane ::o). However, in my opinion the G&B campaign was at times rather overly passionate and we only ever really heard one side of the story. Hopefully, their drain problems will get sorted out in time. I dont think local transport is that bad. You can get the 176 to Oxford Street direct and there are many other buses that then connect with the tube system, we have ED, Denmark Hill, Peckham, Forest Hill and Nunhead over-ground stations all within hitting distance. OK, we dont have a tube station, but that was the case before any of us were born and for those of us that moved here by choice (i.e most of us) we cant say that we didnt know. I get hacked off the with the lack of investment in the SE London transport network, it could be better, but is not poor. Try living in a rural village with a bus that does 2 return journeys a day, thats poor. More importantly, where did Rebecca go? :'(
  16. We can go to any that you like! The standing tickets are ?5. I find that standing is the best way of getting into the play as they often use the standing crowd as part of the scenery and you find the action going on around you.
  17. I will be there. Looking - magnificent ;-)
  18. I cannot let go of my Filofax, 1980s I know, but it works for me.
  19. Nice one Baggy - I will buy you a Babycham on Friday night.
  20. Its members only and is at James Allen Girls Skool
  21. I had a George Forman for Xmas. Just grilled a steak on it eaten with a baked potato and green salad followed by a low fat cherry yoghurt. Yummy. Washed down with no added sugar orange squash. Hmmmmm.
  22. I got this email a few days ago: 2008 Theatre Season - 'Totus Mundus' Priority booking now open Public booking opens 11 February Season opens 23 April In 2008 we celebrate the glorious diversity of Shakespeare?s work. The season opens with his most searching tragedy King Lear, followed by the magical and popular comedy A Midsummer Night?s Dream, his thrilling and savage satire Timon of Athens, and his invention of a new form, the sit-com, in The Merry Wives of Windsor. Our two new plays this season are tales of two cities. Ch? Walker?s The Frontline is an ultra-modern, wild and panoramic look at London on a Saturday night, whilst Glyn Maxwell's beautiful and engaging new play, Liberty, takes us to Paris during the French Revolution. Anybody interested?
