    Can we do this sort of thing with lots of local bars? If they all offer us a discounted evening once a month we only need about 10 to have a couple of cheap nights out a week! Outstanding.

    Many thanks to Claire who stopped her car by the Goose Green Island just to say Hello - she recognised me from the Forum night-out photos. Perhaps we should have a suitable greeting and response to confirm EDF membership in such random circumstances? "Do you post?" followed by "Only to the East" "There is a green hill ...." followed by "without a grotty old lamp-post"

    The best Pizzeria in the wider area was always Pizzeria Castello at the Elephant. Proper hand-made italian pizzas it enlivened an otherwise dire area. Sadly, now shut. I think they got a pay-off as part of the E&C development.

    Just got in from Estonia to find that one of my friend's wife has given birth a month early - all is well - hurrah. So, my planned trip to see them this weekend is off - b*gger. So, anybody wobbling about ED on Saturday might and fancy meeting up for a drink?

    I am with the Gardens and have been impressed of late. It used to be a real pain (ho ho) to get in and see them, I only go to the quacks when I am ill (rather than for a chat) and so am only in there once a year or so, I dont like being told that I can see a Doc in a week when I my leg is hanging off. Anyway, last time, I phoned in the morning and was in and out and back home with my prescription in about 3 hours.
