  1. Clearly this idea would have to mean that anybody involved in the running of the Forum, who did not live in SE22 would immediatly have to cease their involvement. Ooops ...
  2. Please no more posts expressing concern about health and safety. This is fun and requires a sense of humour as well as the physique of a Greek Olympian.
  3. You weren't there either Declan .....
  4. Moist. Chicken not me.
  5. Perspective Nette. Try it.
  6. Actually Maxxi - this IS the Royal Air Force. All 4 of them. Thats cuts for you .....
  7. Quite right too. Well done Underhillians!
  8. Could we have pre-ordering of drinks? For those that are definate contenders - they could let us know what they would like to order. That wouldnt stop last minute entrants but would mean that we could prepare the pubs beforehand.
  9. That GeorgeC seemed a bit odd though ....
  10. The next CC meet being at Mirash seemed to be a popular choice during last nights discussions. 7.15 in the EDT, 8 at Mirash. Read all about the Mirash ....
  11. A very enjoyable evening. Allycat, Floating Onion, Hibbs, Strafer Jack, Georgia, Helbel and Katie1812. Helbel was a welcome first timer and Katie dragged herself here from deepest Norfolk, so was able to attend her memorial meeting. We met in The Draft House, an enjoyable experience, some interesting Belgium beers available and an American Ale is promised. Nice ambience although some still regret the loss of the Black Cherry. There was some debate as to whether the prices were a tad high or not. I cant help thinking free WIFI would help boost their daytime trade. The menu looked interesting and there were a number of people eating. On to the Surma. There was only one table of diners when we arrived and so we were it for most of the evening. The food was nice. My Onion Bhajis were crispy and tasty, although the portion was if anything a little large. I had a good Chicken Madras with a Brinjal side dish but couldnt finish it. The remainder was boxed up and taken home. Service seemed rather slow, given that we were the only people in there. Plenty of food and drink was consumed for ?25 each including a tip. Five of us wobbled over to the Bishop for digestifs. Others may wish to comment about their choices at the Surma. Looks like 15/5 for the next meeting. Venue TBC.
  12. Sorry! Damn that pesky work thing. Draft House it is! Good thought Strafer J!
  13. I am sure you are saying "Maybe" with verve and poise.
  14. Good news beloved Hibbs. Have PMd you HelBel.
  15. This very evening Popadom fans. See you in the Actress or Surma.
  16. By drowning? Bloody Hell. Those drains need sorting.
  17. Day after tomorrow people. This will the Katie1997 Memorial Curry Club meet. For the sadly departed. To Norfolk :-S.
  18. World of Sport in the 1970s. Wrestling from various Midlands and Northern town halls, speedway and motorcross. Formative moments in my life.
  19. HelBel you would be most welcome. There is normally between 6 and 10 of us, very friendly and welcoming. We will meet at The Actress pub at 7.15ish and then move on to Surma at 8ish. Drop me a PM at some point, we can swap id details (pink rose, right lapel) so that we can spot you.
  20. Echoing the positive comments re Semione. Nice place for dinner beside the lake. Beware of swans on the beaches of Garda, or to be more accurate, their poo. Alot of them and alot of it. Getting to Verona is easy and the Garda boat trips well worth it. The boats travel from lakeside town to lakeside town, quite easy to get around. For anybody looking for a cheap place to stay, I was in a Keycamp mobile home on a very nice campsite about 15 minutes walks along the lakeside from Semione.
  21. EVERYBODY forgets the Goldfish. An admittedly small bowl of Goldfish in the Upper Class Bar (just behind the Tanqueray), whilst hundred of people drowned around them, those Goldfish had a glimpse of impending freedom. The bowl slipped along the shelf, scattering bottles and cocktail umbrellas, easing the Goldfish toward liberation. Finally, their too confined prison slipped into the infinite ocean and the Goldfish swam free, free, free. Free into the salty sea-water, not good for Goldfish. Not good at all. A tragedy.
  22. As Goldfish have famously short memories, even they did feel a bit claustrophobic, they wouldnt remember.
