  1. Looking forward to seeing the MacGabhans strolling down Lordship Lane with a pram !! :)) Congratulations!!
  2. Your of pointing out the perceived self importance on a thread about a violent death seems rather ..... self important.
  3. As Keef says - ED is a nice place to live but it is in London and as in most places comparative wealth and comfort live cheek by jowel poverty, inequality and the resulting societal fractures. Lets not paint ED as a war zone, but lets not over-romaniticise it either.
  4. Could we just have an S&M Supermarket on Lordship Lane?
  5. OK - lets got for Swadesh. Not been there for a while.

  7. Timothy Spawl in The Palmerston. Proper famous.
  8. Hibbs wrote - OMG are you flirting with me MP? ;-) Dont be ridiculous Hibbs. I was simply suggesting that I need more than two hands to get to grips with my enormous appendage. Ooh Matron.
  9. I was at that same event. The tongue in question is indeed tiny but well formed and apparently works in all the ways required. Small and pink and a bit pointy. I was told (by those that have expertise in these matters) that I have a big tongue, being both long and broad. If you want to know how long and broad it is, you will just have to come round and measure it Hibbs.
  10. What Narners said - there are lots of social things going on. The monthly drinks are fun and a good start as is the Curry Club. Welcome to ED Lil.
  11. I should be able to pop in for a craft one ...
  12. In the spirit of changing the days, month by month, I suggest that the next curry club meeting be Thursday 17 February. Any thoughts of where people would like to go? Omrith was mentioned as somewhere we havent been for a while; but other ideas are welcome. The choices are: Curry Cabin, Dulwich Tandoori, Jaflong, Mirash, Omrith, Surma, Swadesh, Tandoori Nights, Veer Zara Did I miss any? We have tried going further afield but it doesnt work as people cant drag themselves far away from SE22. Edited for accuracy - Thanks!!
  13. Ten people. Huge amounts of food. Nice one Dulwich Tandoori. Iceland? Fresh veg? Really?
  14. Hmmm. I enjoyed it as an entertainment and was impressed at the non-judgemental character of the narrative. I think I understand some aspects of gypsy culture a bit better. I dont think we are in a position to judge. I also enjoyed the Kara Tointon dyslexia programme that followed on BBC1. A well structured programme that told me alot about dyslexia and how it can be addressed but not cured. I thought Kara T was brave in being so open about something which was obviously painful for her.
  15. Well said Darling Hibbs!! I have increased the numbers of our table booking.
  16. Who is actually coming by the way? 1 - Me
  17. Oh you two, adulthood beckons all too soon :)) I have booked a table for 8pm. Meet at the EDT at 7.15 for a tincture for those that want.
  18. It demonstrates the fun that we have Seanny. Come back to us ....
  19. Are you surprised? That Lurker, he's a pussy when it comes to the stronger chilli. Where did you get the sauce from? "Chilli Pepper Pete" is not an acceptable answer.
  20. Newish rather than new. Lets not be pedantic.
  21. If I told you to jump out of that windown, you would do that too? Where are you going? NO! Come back! Oooops ...
  22. BEAGLE!! Whats that in your mouth?? What are you chewing??? Is that CHEWING GUM??!!
