Just dont let Mr Ben let you try some of his "Dragons Breath" (no, really); the next day the skin had peeled from the soles of my feet and I had tunnel vision.
My bedroom overlooks the leak. Two chaps turned up at midnight with a small digger and ... dug. One big hole and a fountain later, they set too and fixed it. Leaving a big but dry hole surrounded by some plasic fencing. It was the middle of the night, pishing down with rain, water was coming upward at a rate of knots and it was cold, hats off to them.
An interesting extension to the Bar Story, Montpellier, Ganapati niceness. I cant see the wood and mirrors being removed from The Wishing Well, a return to being "The Victoria" would be good. The Wishing Well did welcome us with free food and whilst some of the regulars looked at us a little sideways, most were hospitable.
Chicken shifting - occasional summer job - transferring chickens at a battery farm from the rearing shed to the laying shed - by hand - 3 pairs of legs in each hand. The chickens were injected for fowl pest on the way, as was I. The horrors of chicken battery farms are so true.
Ah DM, I remember "clench, relax, clench relax, clench relax", normally followed by "Did you pay for half an hour or 45 minutes?" That was before the kids (the first batch), the NOTW "expose" and the subsequent lucrative hush money. Happy days..
Talentless? Your benchmark is what? It takes some talent to pull in the amount of money that he has done. The fact that you do not respect that talent does not mean that it does not exist.

They had never done any management training of any sort and were a new team. I thought that the Newspaper Tower Building exercise would be a good ice breaker. They were a PR agency and so would have lots of newspapers. I sent an email asking them to keep some newspapers for the training day, I didnt say what for. They replied, asking "Left wing or Right newspapers?" There then followed a discussion with colleagues on what political colour of newspaper makes the best tower ...
I have looked up the statutes. In 1856 a law was passed allowing Warranted Constables to test the tension of the braces of Labourers to ensure that their loads were appropriately secured. This law has not been repealed. What was demonstrated last night was a fine example of the law being implemented appropriately. It was confirmed that David Carnelli's load was appropriately secured, to his relief. Well done that Constable.
The BBC's missions is: "To enrich people's lives with programmes and services that inform, educate and entertain" Ross did inform and educate during his Film programmes and the documentaries he did about film and other genres. He entertained through his Saturday night programmes and lets not forget his work with Comic Relief. He did rather hit all the BBC bases. He could also, at times, be a bit of a cock; but not all the time. I have to disagree with *Bob* though, it would take a family bag of Fun Size Mars Bars to replace local news satisfactorily.
I am quite happy with the Overground being close enough to be convenient but not so close as to change the character of ED. People who live here have to be able to navigate by bus and train timetable, requiring mental dexterity and high moral character.
I will miss him from the BBC, especially the Saturday night show and the Film programmes. He could easily get similar gigs on Channel 4 - they lack both.
The ED option for London Overground was scrapped ages ago. We will benefit from the confirmed phase 2 - which goes to Clapham via Peckham and Denmark Hill. To be completed by 2012, allegedly.
