  1. I am a locavore alright but I still hanker after a bit of Waitrose! We all use supermarkets so, rather than another crummy Tesco metro, why not a mini Waitrose. We wouldn't be worse off for it and I promise to buy the whole hog roast at NCR market every Sat for a month!! Surely another epetition????
  2. We seem to be going round in circles here (although not quite as much as those people in the Sainsbugs Kiddy parking epic). Point made, keep dogs on leash where required! :)
  3. Brilliant.... Whatever it takes eh..!
  4. Sorry to hear of your bad news, we were broken into two montgs ago whilst at home. Luckily they were after the car and didn't stick around for long, due mainly to our big angry dog. I hope you find peace at home, I didn't sleep well for a few nights but I got over it. Clove, ADT are rather good, go for it. If anything else it will give you peace of mind.
  5. Is the 'friendlly online community' bit guaranteed then....? I can see why there is little appeal from us 'orrible lot...
  6. And she can probably set/ unset the alarm with one deft flick of her wee paw!
  7. SC very prolificthese past few days. I smell the whiff of competition... I don't think eirher of our lovelies were peeing on anything; merely expressing an opinion that shows a different slant on things and, in my tiny mind, very much refreshing. I don't think I understand knitting anyway and not just because I have two left hands..
  8. I didn't say I wasn't interested and sincere apologies if that is how it comes across. I am planning to get my sleeves rolled up but not because I want to be better than anyone else, more to make my own personal contribution. Perhaps I misinterpreted the original cause, I appear to have acquired a habit of not reading posts thoroughly before wading in with my big size 11s...
  9. Or perhaps you just like laughing out loud! I wish there were more like u!!
  10. Wouldn't our efforts be better spent offering up our services to volunteer as mentors rather than knitting a new shop front in patchwork design. Call me a cynic but I don't get the connection and can't see where it would serve the community better..
  11. You devote yourself to this forum and call me brother and, together, we get on with it!
  12. What a great idea, would prefer once a month though as would be fun..
  13. I was fessing up, give me a break ffs.....! I wrote a lot more than that Starry-eyes and generally, I am a very responsible dogdude!

Flint, it was a joke, it's Nette's style and I am sure no-one thinks anything serious about it. She is one of the good ones, honest! Some bird accused me of being a stalker on here recently which I took offence to.
  15. Bless you LadyD, I will PM you..
  16. My Sunday night continues to be entertaining, it seems like we have an unlikely trio of comedians here, all of whom are managing to make me larf..
  17. If you can, why not....! More focus on learning than in the state system, not to say that state school teachers don't work bloody hard. I spent a year teaching at A'LevelCollege and left because I was so disillusioned, mostly by the studenrs laid-back attitude and the College's approach to dealing with it.. Cutting a very long story short... If I had kids and had the choice would I rather give them more opportunity to learn or risk placing them in an environment where learning was optional..... Hmmmmmmm, no-brainer. There are great comprehensive schools out there, I went to one in Scotland so I think I know what I am talking about.
  18. Barking - clever link eh based on your previous posts in another thread today.
  19. Lol :0)
  20. Get me....!!! And I still manage to have a social life too although as of lately I have found myself checking my iphone for updates when I should be doing other things! Rather a contributor be than a mere bystander..... Quantity is quality eh? :0)
  21. Bless little Arty....... :0)
  22. Either that or you will have Maxxi trying to break in..
  23. SC, very valid point re leash-on/ leash-off areas, something I will observe far closer and more consistently going forward.
