  3. Gutted that we got so close after thinking pre-game Citeh would have it all sewn up by half time. I'm glad QPR stayed up because they gave it a good go, just wasn't to be. An amazing end to an amazing season, congrats to Citeh and of course our very own BR, enjoy the moment!
  4. Obviously Baader Meinhof was big in your area maxxi, we had to make do with comedy guns. The original was called Bazooka, fired 'deadly from 2 feet' ping pong balls, and came in a nice shade of utilitarian grey, perfect for the revolution... http://s10.thisnext.com/media/largest_dimension/DD37F34B.jpg
  5. The most popular football game at the time was Striker, where you pressed the player's head and he would kick the ball. I had had this cheaper version, where you had to pull back the players leg and let go, scored some cracking goals though... http://www.peter-upton.co.uk/Pict7510.jpg The figures came blank so you could paint them in your fav club's colours... http://www.peter-upton.co.uk/Pict7564.jpg

  8. I 'inherited' this from my older brothers... http://www.cardcow.com/images/set199/card00150_fr.jpg http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3105/2664733637_7975b92fe6_z.jpg
  9. The problem with the trials is that there isn't always lot of previous form to go on, so breeding can often come into play. Also, at Lingfield they run on an artificial 'polytrack', so it might be worth looking for horses that are familiar with this surface. For the Oaks trial (2.40) I will go for the 2nd fav Estrela, currently around 4/1. For the Derby trial (3.10) I will go for Ed de Gas, currently around 5/1...this horse has experience of winning on an artificial surface. Enjoy the day, you'll probably be just as successful/unlucky picking a horse because you like it's name or colours. The co-fav in the 3.10 race, Main Sequence, runs in the colours of the Scottish Saltire...it's saying ''back me Help Ma Boab!'' ;-)
  10. Careful what you wish for...
  11. Fantastic game and atmosphere, scoreline didn't reflect the match...I reckon we'll see a few of the players on show in the PL next season, big fan of Muniain

  13. Europa League final tonight...Ath Bilbao v Ath Madrid...should be a scorchio of a game
  14. Why was the play-off final played at Bognor's ground? Was it agreed pre-season that would be the venue for the play-off, or was it on the toss of a coin?..seemed a bit unfair that one team had home advantage for such an important match.
  15. Cup final day used to be magic, glued to the box from 9.00am all the way through to the end of the match. Tough one to call for 'neutrals' like me, esp with the John Terry factor, but old habits die hard so I'm going for a Chelsea win...

  18. Hard to see beyond Camelot, oozes class, but for value might go with French Fifteen. I'll have a proper look at the full card later tonight...promises to be a great weekend of sport :)
  19. I've lumped Utd at 7/4...would be rude not to. Plus Toon to win or draw, either way will show a profit. No value in the 'ammers, so for a fun bet I've backed Blackpool at 7/2 to win the play-offs, it's now a cup competition and they have the look of a cup side... :)
