  1. The Lib-dem lady called and gave me a leaflet she said are you Steve T and I agreed as soon as she told me who she represented and my eyes rolled upwards in disgust. She asked if I had anything against her party I explained it was nothing personal I was against politicians left right and centre equally. She smiled and said thank you very much to persue some other cave dweller who had no idea what politicians were responsible for. Had she been less amenable I would have given her a tongue lashing, but she was young, innocent, and attractive, which is the most positive thing I have said of anyone connected with politics for some years. I could never vote for that untrustworthy slippery eel, Man D.
  2. At nearly 64 my future is behind me! I hope there are others who remember the fifties on this forum, or am I the only grumpy old man? Ruddy kids of today, trundles off mumbling 'n rumbling.......
  3. Sparkes Northcross road on Friday and Saturday. Sunday there is a very inconvenient butcher at the Peckham Pulse Farmers market who supplies slow grown meats and is worth popping down to, if you have a Sunday swim at the pulse.
  4. White five pound note????? I would bet the only time you have seen one is in a black and white 'B' movie, unless you are considerably older than we all thought Ted! I shall have to re-write the Ted 'flowery prose' Max, tag that we all know and love, to something more appropriate.......... Ted 'Saga Holidays' Max ..........................................................................................................................open for other forumistas to suggest suitable Ted Max tags.
  5. Foodmag wrote:- why it has such a large amount of good independent food shops Probably because the nearest decent supermarket is too far to walk to, and worse to walk back from laden with goodies.
  6. Open two accounts put half the earnings in one and the other half goes in the second account. Live only from one account. The other account goes to feed the thieving politicians, the crooked lawyers, the work shy, and all other forms of scrimshankers when you pay taxes. Best of luck in your endeavours mscc1991.
  7. We can only dream of such a happening quidsy!
  8. Undemanding, laid back, easy women!
  9. Pavements that are usable.
  10. Cut up old christmas cards and punch a hole through to us as name tags on christmas presents.
  11. Moos wrote:- I'm quite miffed that no matter how often I circle Goose Green loitering on the pavement, no-one has ever offered me a fiver. Suffering low estime at a fiver, with your length of limb and amusing erudition you should never take less than a ton.
  12. If he is returning to Seattle perhaps an umbrella would be more appropriate as it rains lots.
  13. We as a society decided that the death penalty was wrong and dropped it off the statute book............ Wrote woofmarkthedog. It was voted by MP's, not voted by the populace, because when one of the national dailies held a poll via their readership more than 70% were in favour of keeping the death penalty.
  14. You are a lying slut as there isn't any charge from the restaurant, I know I checked, so I refuse to put you in a fraudulent position by paying you anything, you greedy grasping thieving tight-fisted slag! Ps I don't mean that in a bad way.
  15. I bought 250 quids worth one year in 94 or 95 and they lasted for 35 minutes............ Sounds as if your neighbour spent a grand or more.
  16. You'll just have to join the 12 tinnies for a tenner club at the supermarket Mick Mac.
  17. Nick Griffin is in the position he is in because no one is allowed to talk about the immigration issue as it is deemed by many as racist. Until, as iaineasy says, they are given enough rope to hang themselves, they will remain, judging by the TV ratings, a powerful force. Immigration policies in my opinion, should be debated openly and fairly, and not by a bunch of right or left wing thugs but by the population at large. The sooner the better say I.
  18. Harsh but brunette........ Why are they giving Skidmarks such a hard time when he put up his photo, full marks Skids for courage.
  19. Yes I do miss Tony's input and point of view, and do not feel that he should be banned. BBW was a different kettle of fish as some of his posts were revolting, so much so that he was referred to as a 'revolting quadruped' by me. His posts were irritating and obnoxious, and as Giggirl has previously mentioned he attacked so many threads he made people like me just give up on the forum as I did not want to deal with him. I feel that about others too Legaleagleish bullying people about racism and raising the black banner at every opportunity, but not like BBW who seemed always in your face.
  20. BBW was riding the 'train of doom' and was warned and banned enough times to know when he was out of order. It is admins right to ban people to maintain order, and the BBW posts were soooooo in your face and could not be ignored. I thought that he may come to a 'sticky end' by endangering himself from enraging so many forumista's. He chose his path to become a 'rebel without a clue'. Tony was an interesting point of view who sometimes over did it pressing his point, but you could glance over it and not bother to read the occasional tediously long posts but I am with Keef, and not at all comfortable with Tony's 'ban'. Had Tony many warnings or short bans from admin? A permanent ban I feel is unjust.
  21. Every where I ate the food was excellent, and the hotel was just off piazza navona which was the most "happening" piazza during the evenings. Pizzas were slim, crisp, delicious, and cheap, they tasted nothing like the one's here. Some shops gave a handful of boiled sweets instead of small change. It is one of the most charming of european capital cities, but as in all large cities you have to carefully check your change following all transactions. I flew from city airport which made it easier too.
  22. For speed reading perhaps??????
  23. How nice to hear from you both LadyM and PGC, I feel as if I have been scraping my shoes along the ground for the last two weeks.
  24. Woke up with hair sticking out at a weird angle, so I cut it shorter and now it is back to being almost maintenance free, excluding shampooing of course.
  25. Hello good to know you are back. I 2nd that ratty. It seemed a long fortnight, I bet Mark and admin found their holiday went quickly though.
