I dont live close enough to the FHT to comment on this particular case, but it was always a bit shit & full of thicknecked blokes using fruity language (!) Drug taking is widespread & not restricted to the clientle of the FHT - its pretty obvious on LL, but not done in open sight - the debris is easy to see in the various bogs Anyway., as long as this venue contnues ( I assume ) to make money from these nights, there will be precious little that can be done in reality - just make sure you document everything to the soft cops at every opportunity Failing that, pubs & clubs popularity peak and then decline rapidly - that may change the owners perspective

Seen these pics of the had written signeage in the ex Oglander pub / soo to be luxury urban living apartments building ? http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm279/zoltan2007/oglanderpub001.jpg Gentlemen are requested not to commit a nuisiance against the walls maybe they should replicate the same for the streets off Lordship lane, where the smell of revellers piss in shady nooks can be rather fragrant on warm Sunday mornings

As a company, Lehmans were always up their own arses IME.Though the vast majority of staff are 9-5 workers doing clerical stuff and they are the ones that will feel the pinch, not the big bonus boys - I take no pleasure in seeing the majority of its workforce having their pensions screwed and being dumped onto broadgate with their careers in a cardboard box - Loyalty ? I would like to see Goldmans go under - they have a certain greasy smugness about them that makes my teeth grind - if Goldmans were an actor, it would be Tom Cruise in full on scientology mode - On Fleet street , they have occupied one of the most beautiful 20th century buildings in London - what a travesty. Still, in defence of global capital, they have had a good few years caning it & churning out illiquid and opaque shite relentlessly for a while now - they will lose a few names, there will be some mergers and things will go on.in half a decade people will speak of 2008 in revered terms , business school automatons will write essays on it and the city employees will likely forget how bad it felt. its just another blip. Move on nothing to see here

As much as it galls me, I accept the noise as part & parcel of access to air travel. few of us can legitimately claim to oppose the use of these planes if we go on holiday / buy mange tout / use DHL ...ad nauseum. YOu Been been shopping to NYC ? a conference in HK or a romantic break in Paree ? Do you want the best for the world or the best of both worlds ?

The fact she seems to like NZ does suggest she has lost whatever plot she had -

CCTV and its ilk are a sticking plaster on a festering gangrenous wound You need to investigate the reasons behind the infection rather than continually apply bigger and bigger plasters

snorky replied to MadWorld74's topic in The Lounge
That was an of the cuff antagonistic comment I agree, I cant be arsed getting all class-warry on advertising and suchlike, its obvious what advertising is there for & what its purpose is. Champers ? urgh never touch the stuff . A Nice breton cider maybe. -
Please dont use the term "drug dealers" I much prefer the term "pushers"
