An interesting perspective - under the system of capital we have at the minute, there is actually no reason why housing should be different from any other product- i.e. built in Obselescence/ incompatability with future needs - indeed, it makes sense that for a developer to make money, having a product that will degrade in a remarkably short space of time is sensible/profitable Who was it that said of late, that the rash of new development/luxury urban living developments , were the slums of the future ? A new build prefab in a bad area of the thames estuary is always going to be risky if the surroudning area is still a deprevation rich shithole there is a lot of shit in ED, most of which has been lapped up by the gullible victims of the past decades boom. Objectively, some of this is terrible , terrible opportunistic toss - the SE15 Grove vale development is a prime example of something that may be acceptable /OK for a decade or so, but would you really want to live there long term ? Being gullible isnt a character fault - its human nature, but sadly, people have been sucked into this vortex of home ownership, fuelling the whole situation . Nothing short of a fundamantal change on the property market economics is going to change this - something along the lines of the German system of rental security & long term landlord accountbility would flatten out the peaks & troughs of the housing market. maybe
  2. Last week, as he was advised that the tiresome trek form his Brockley enclave would be worthwhile He went to both the cheery happy smiling cow 24/7 queueing system butchers and was relieved of about ?25 for some chops, then strolled into a Deli ( the one that no one may speak its name for fear of legal action ) and in both places, he remarked that he was treated in a sneering offhand fashion, that didnt really inspire a return visit this chap pulls in about ?250K PA and is not exactly ostentatious or arrogant His did remark oddly enough about the simpering and forelock tugging attitude prevelant amnongst the Victims who felt priviliged to be getting served in the butchers - and this was without any prompting from me either( surprisingly )> Hmmm Tut Tut ED- you do yourselves no favours thanks fuck he decided against a visit to the stationiers for a new pen - I fear he may never have returned to SE22 again Must try harder
  3. Obvuous question - I cant be arsed to google - how do you calculate yield here ? MY definition may be soemwhat simplistic ...
  4. Thing is, Europe has a long tradition of Tradesmen - usually apprenticed & time served - you cant call yourself a builder or plumber in germany without actually proving that you are qualified & the trade groups ensure that their members come up to scratch. There is an element of pride involved.Fraudsters are not tolerated in much of Northern & central europe he same is true for much of the old Eastern Europe esp. Poland/ Czech/Slovakia etc , despite many still thinking of it as some kind of rundown stalinist theme park - Krakow, Tallinn & Prague didnt build themselves IN the UK, Builders seem, more often than not, to fall into it rather than it being a career choice.Granted that many Polish builders across here may not be fully time served, but even with their partial training, they are more technically adept than their UK counterparts. There are of course many Good UK builders and tradesmen, but much harder to find.
  5. I think you will find that dealing with mouthy drunks, whilst on for minimum wage, doesnt exactly inspire enthusiasm

PM is very very bright and VV competent He may be a gratingly annyoing slimy charachter, but has more understanding of how the system works & how to get things done that than Eton & Oxford trained PR pisstain Cameron & his shitehawk baying rowing club chums that provide the EZ on the eye opposition

I know what you are saying and I am not one to vent my anger on a lot for the misdeeds of their forears.Usually.But this lot have had a very good run considering they do nothing and their moneymaking "brand" is now property of UK Plc & in some ways, they are employees now. I dont advocate execution, as its not in my nature, but repossesion of their lands & estates would be a good start Thye can keep their crowns & vulgar gilded tat and decamp to the antidelivual vile tax havens of Isle of Man & the Channel islands if they dont like it Maybe not logical, but this family line have been responsible for Millions of deaths over the years & their opulent soft furnishings are soaked in the blood of countless vitims across the globe I dont want to put them on a LA estate in BOlton, but let them have a town house & 1 country retreat for their use. I hear the South of France & Switzerland provide resting places for deposed dictators and various royals , so they should have some kindred spirtits to wile away their leisure time Bye Bye Liz and good luck in your retirement
  12. tragic fr the family, yes Im sure. Tragic for me as well - they cancelled the Newcastle / Liverpool game because of it Tragic for the country, as it reinstated these parasites as national treasures, juset when people were begining to see what they really were. But this isnt exactly ED related
  13. be careful of using the term derivatives as some kind of one stop definition - there are many many variations - most serve a purpose in the system of capital for risk management & have done for many many years Im sure you know this ????, but too often the media seems to be full of this scaremongering stuff & every pub is full of people from the Camerwell omnibus with forthright views on the subject, who are being drip fed by the awful tabloids & have no knowledge of it beyond a couple of paras in their rag of choice - the heinous simpering cod left turd sheet the Guardian included Not that this applies to everyone here, please rest assured
  14. Snorky acres has always been a hotbed of non aligned revolution and agitation. If you are reading this Royalist lackey- it was ME who was driving the White fiat uno in Paris & I have to get the full set before I die - there are plently left.

  22. You can spend it on essentials like food n drink or a bit of paint to jazz up a gloomy room On th other hand, there are plenty of truly shocking overpriced tat n ornament shops that would gladly take your money and provide something of no use whatsoever in return actually, ?20 would only get a small amount of tat in these shops
  23. In order to generate more through traffic for the forum & to give the estates agents a chance to air their bogusly optimistic veiws, I have decided to start this thead so, yes or not ?
