  1. EA are in the area to make money. There is no other reason for their presence. They cannot even pretend to contribute anything to the ED / LL community Consider the damage to your cars as part of the experience - an evil you have to accept to make your precious money- an expense. Most people view your kind in the same light as a Leech - expect that leeches have some small benefit to humanity. No one has the right to vandalise cars true, but then again, no one has the right to clog the streets and make our lives harder, fill the air with exhaust fumes and make crossing the road an infintitely more dangerous experience.

Ive posted on this before, but the vast majority of people dont know their syetems have been compromised. Criminal groups use overseas contacts to get the funds, often by coercion & threats in th case of the Tamil Tigers Eelam or the Balkans diasapora.
  3. hassle aside, the banks build this type of scenario into their risk models & allocate a % in their forecasts to write off - retail transactions will not be honoured with a bogus card either, so its the retailer who loses out its not your money, dont get too worked up about it - this is why banks make Billions of quid profit and charge up to 8x the libor rate for their Credit cards. so a few city boys have to keep his ?60K company car for another 6 months before upgrading it.Life is tough. take precautions so you dont have to go through the rigmarole of replacemt, but dont shed a tear for the banks.
  4. you hardly got out of the street before it died.... erm.....surely thats a day to day occurence with MG's
  5. If im too pissed to walk to the kebab shop, I ususally drive ( joking )
  6. I wrote of this at length re Athena & the Lidl contract & Im assuming this is the same type of thing this isnt a criminal offence, its a potential civil offence if its a private car parking firm and its all down to breach of contract - they have to prove that you were the driver and that you implicitly accepted their contract when you parked.Even of is went to county court, they cannot make any punitive claim & can only claim fo losses incurred - which is the square root of fuck all when it comes to parking the car owner isnt responsible for poviding any information whatsoever in a civil matter like this, despite their ( unlawful ) statements to the contrary in thir various PCN lookalike notices they send with carefree abandon.Even tir PCN lookalike notes are fraudulent and an attemot to deceive, so they are already on shaky ground. You are at no stage under any obligation to confirm or deny that you were the driver, its a basic human right.they have to prove breach of contract by the driver and unless they can prove this, they are stuffed - a cars registered keeper isnt responsible. The debt collection agency can only get on your case once legal proceedings have been satisfied - i.e in court - tnad that wont happen - they are chancers and get away with it most times without much hassle from the victims The DVLA supply detials to a large number of parties that may have need for these detials - theres no getting away from that, but unless this was a proper criminal/ traffic offence - including local authority parking tickets - then they will not push this any further they are incapable of doing this and proving it was you tell them to fuck off in the most polite way you can and never ever admit anything to anyone like this.A short note stating that you will be reporting them for harrasment and a complaint to the local trading standards will soon shut them up.
  7. have you thought about how to get the mutha in situ ? budget on a grand or so to buy a scraggy used one
  8. You wouldnt ask a double glazing salesman if your old sash windows were good enough to last another 20 years, so why take any notice of what estate agents say ? as someone who knows how the city works ( as do many on here I suspect ), it is imposible & foolhardy to call the bottom of a cycle until its happened.
  9. I dont want to negiotiate the various labels that a bar may adopt in order to carve its niche and make its money - I just want to go to a bar soemtimes - an inclusive one where I have a less than averge chance of getting my head kicked in.
  10. lets hope the b*****ds are unable to sell their boxy little dwellings
  11. If someone wanst to root through my bins, I dont have a problem with it. As force of habit, I always leave old shoes etc on top of the green bin and invariably, they are gone by morning If someone can use your unwanted shite, then good luck -obv. no thieving though I am a bit of a skip rat myself
  12. She should really have a word with whoever is giving her investment advice, seriously. Greed. Greed. Greed and not even well thought our or planned greed. tsk

  14. As a lurker in SE15 Lidl of late, I notice they have "clogs" - an exact replica of "crocs", but, at about ?2.99 a pair, are a bit cheaper than the ubuiquitous ED footwear of choice for a bit of hectic LL cruising / sport / leisure action would ED residents go doe the brand or for the generic ? and why ?
  15. vermin I can imagine that when foxys goes tits up and the cars are offloaded , the second hand value will be negligible would you wnt to drive around in one of them voluntarily ? urgh vulgar horrid people ( I know Foxtons employees in ED read this site, so If I were you, I would advise putting some cash away for an oystercard when you get Das Boot )

  17. Strangely enought I did a bit of Guerilla cutting in a street just last week - thorny branches were so overgrown, people were having to walk on the road to get past incl. kids going to school - some industial strength branch loppers and the job was done in a few mintes. I did ensure howeve that said branches were chucked back over fence, so as not to provoke accusations of theft - someone even thanked me for it as they walked past I urge all ED residents to do the same.
  18. Um YOu are aware that the ciminal gangs / "liberation " organisations that run this type of scheme are quite sophisticated One of the main sources of income for the likes of the Tamil Tigers are CC frauds overseas, usually through the extended network of overeas tamils ( willing or more often, coerced ) Many of the redundant EBlok state security operations went freelance in the '90s to get involved - hence a great deal of European stuff where you may have a large Refugee / Gastarbieter population to do the groundwork these are not a one man & dog system in most cases
  19. probelm is that many cars are effetively ownerless an unless you grab then when they come up, the auto fines just wont find anywhere to roost driving it is easy, the hard part are the incedentals like Tax/Insurance/MOT/Licence etc many people just dont bother with any paper trail and a cheap car is effectively viewed as disposable if it gets clamped
  20. blah blah blah motorists have been used as a cash cow for too long bah blah blah time for action blah blah blah support the truckers blak blah blah stealth tax etc Sadly, those have little interest in getting their wheels taxed are usually equally uninterested in keeping their car in a roadworthy condition or getting it insured. They are also more likely to drive home ripped to the tits after a night out - I have no problem wth having their cars clamped, despite it being a bit Police statey
  21. The problem is that the piste levels are getting higher and higher each year - low level resorts like Bankso are being heavily marketed to overseas buyers as some kind of Ski Yukon/ the New Aspen - it isnt & can never be - people have fallen fo th hype & bluster, thnking that if it only costs them say ?30K for a property, then it can only go up - which is patentley bogus. It may seems cheap by London standards, but there is a reason for it.
