  1. My dad took loads of stuff to St Christopher's yesterday and said the shop was closed + completely full of bags but they took his stuff anyway. Perhaps phone before you go as they sometimes have funny opening hours. I'm holding on to another 2 black bagfulls until they are less busy as they are such a fab local charity :o)

It's a crappy jewellery shop now. The nasty shoeshop opposite it was Ravel. Yes, Primark was BHS, Argos was Marks & Spencer, Ethel Austin was C&A, the cinema was Sainsbury's + the Clarks Factory was an old skool counter service Sainsbury's, and Jones & Higgins department store where the Aylsham Centre is now. My first ever Saturday job was at Woolworths in Rye Lane when I was 16 - ?2.80 an hour - and that was only in 1995! haha
  3. I can't speak - I moved to West and then North London 5 years ago. I haven't lived in SE22 properly for about 7 years now, although I pop back at least once a week.

  5. Is that the lady in white from the Maudsley? Remember the drunk windowcleaner who looked like Rod Stewart? haha
  6. I would be very surprised if the timber yard was sold. People have been trying to buy the land for years and years. If it is sold I really hope they don't build monstrosities like the houses opposite (although they are far better than the run-down petrol station they replaced).
