  1. I had a long chat with the man at the recycling van in Sainsbury's car park on Wednesday. Sainsbury's have stopped having the recycling bins because far too many people misused them, leaving stuff on the ground rather than bother to put it in the appropriate container. I can't blame Sainsbury's for not wanting broken glass and clothes etc spread around quite a large area. If people behaved correctly the containers would probably still be there.
  2. Why should replacing a broken fence with a neat new one be a problem? I fell out with my previous neighbours when I came home from work and not only found half the adjoining fence missing (they owned a retired greyhound and I have cats) but their builders had trashed MY garden in the process, leaving their garden intact! My new neighbour had to re another part of the fence but told me a couple of days in advance and his builder stayed in his garden so no problem. Your neighbour sound dreadful. Poor you..
  3. That is disgusting. Was the dog killed?
  4. Is the van going to be at DKH Sainsbury's today?
  5. There is a group which meets with a trainer in Dulwich park at 10am on Sundays. I joined them for a while and they are very friendly.
  6. Thank you for that info as I was wondering what they were too.
  7. Apparently her fashion line made over ?3 million loss and was bailed out by David. When you are worth ?530 million, it must be difficult! So why she got an OBE, God only knows!

  9. The tissues are even cheaper if you don't pay for them at all!
  10. Hi turtle, happy New Year to you as well! πŸŽ‰πŸΎ
  11. Turtle, I agree with people like Alan Woodhouse getting recognition as well as Patricia Routledge but, as you say, Victoria Beckham? I'm not in favour of sports people who make millions out of their sport getting knighthoods etc particularly while they are still active in whatever sport they play.
  12. I think the whole honours thing has become ridiculous.
  13. I also think that the title of the thread makes the subject matter clear so nobody is forced to read it!
  14. He appears to have killed several foxes over the past few days. 😰
  15. The brown garden bin is, in fact, the only one emptied weekly but, maybe, they will take it next week..
  16. Wonderful news. Maybe he got shut in somewhere!
  17. Dog duck, I guess the OP has contacted the police but is sensibly also checking whether anyone saw anything. I posted a thread about an attempted theft of a motorcycle: I did call the police but also posted n here as a warning to others. What's the problem?
  18. Otta, one of the killer's victims was from the street next to mine and was found by someone with a small child. The police team dealing with these horrible crimes cover a very large area and I understand that nearly 100 cats may have been killed by this sick person. Would you prefer to wait until he/she moves on to a human before 'wasting police resources ' or is it wiser to stop this before it goes that far? I am a cat owner and would be devastated if something like this happened to one of my animals.
  19. Sobbie, any vet will scan the cat so no need to go to Celia Hammond on such a busy day...It is really kind of you to offer to do it.
  20. It's 'may have' DulwichFox, not 'may of.'
  21. Dexters Mum, I would guess that they could be checked for a chip since they had been 'caught'. That would make reuniting them with their owner easy.
  22. I wonder why they are not chipped as it has been a legal requirement for months now.

  24. Such good news.. Please keep her indoors for a few days.. 😸😺😻
