  3. Exactly my thoughts... redjam Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hmm, do Heber use the playing fields every > Thursday am? News to me and my Heber kids. I > thought they got them once a year for sports day > (actually just a morning).
  4. Hi James, Wouldn't it be possible for the organisation to simply apply for a TENS licence to sell alcohol at their specific event? This is what we do all the time at school events which involve the sale of alcohol - very easy to do. Whether there is a difference applying for a TENS licence for a licenced venue I'm not sure.... 5. There is a 'no cycling' rule already and I frequently remind (mostly older) children of it. I have a 4 yr old who loves to play football and we rarely have a problem sharing the space with older kids - most of the time the older ones are pretty good at being mindful of the little ones (and vice versa). The only problems we've ever had have been with much older kids/teenagers (14+) swearing and being 'tough' (ha!) - perhaps an upper limit of 12yrs old would be appropriate for that particular play space, although how that could be implemented I have no idea...
  6. It's 'Noo' in our house, when I was a little girl it was 'tuppence'. Good god😨😃

  8. Weather forecast looks really sunny tomorrow morning so please do come along (rain forecast from 1pm but sunny up to that point) Looking forward to meeting you all.

  10. Hello, Just a reminder that the picnic is this Saturday - fingers crossed for sunshine! There will be an opportunity to purchase good condition second hand Heber sweatshirts at the picnic too!
  11. Hi, To all Heber Reception starters 2016, there is a Welcome Picnic planned on Saturday 2nd July at Peckham Rye picnic area (dog free area)from 11am. It's a lovely opportunity to meet new starters (both kids and parents), bring a picnic/snacks and sunshine! Look forward to seeing you then Kristy x
  12. I cycle this route every day - Forest Hill Road to Farringdon. I reckon even '20 mins doable for just about anyone' is a bit optimistic- unless you're not stopping at the lights...... I agree that it is a decent route and once the pedestrians get used to the cycle superhighway it'll be great ;-) > :-) Well, I was basing that on the fact that last > time I did it it took me seventeen minutes and I > was overtaken by a substantial number of much > younger, fitter and better-biked people who > disappeared into the distance pretty quickly. > Maybe ten minutes is a bit optimistic, fifteen > definitely doable and twenty doable for just about > anyone - average speed of 13 mph which is easy to > stick to even in traffic, let alone with traffic > free cycle paths.
  13. A bronze old (old) A reg 998 Nissan micra, both my dad's and brother's motorbikes were at least 50% more powerful. Me and the fella spent many an hour 'leaning forward' to get us up hill on drive from Liverpool to London! Loved her....
  14. We've been with Lordship Lane vets (formerly Lomax) for 15 years, with 2 cats - one very sadly deceased😢. Julia and her team at LL vets have been consistently supportive and I would not hesitate to recommend them x
  15. Try lordship lane vets 02086934677. X
  16. Renata Hamvas Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Siblings are excluded in distance figures Is this really the case? I'm not sure about the accuracy of this data - I know that someone didn't get into Heber and lives less than 500m away and didn't get in (it was first choice). 827m (if measured as the crow flies) is a considerable distance from the school, unless it refers to one of the applicants from the LAC column (not sure what LAC is). Anyway, I think it's important to make sure the correct data is being provided, Renata, could you clarify please?
  17. New juice bar on corner of dunstans riad/peckham rye has opened. Juice &coffee ?1.50 (reduced cost for opening), looks very nice.
  18. bugs me too - if it is the only suitable place, is it not possible for the teachers to arrange one of their INSET days to coincide with the school being closed to children? At least then across the year it remains the same....
  19. > So that's why there was a mother and buggy keeping > a v close eye on things. (I did not take any > photos though. Not sure if you made that bit up or > there was another mother and buggy close in that I > didn't see.) Why would I make that up? The woman I saw with a child in s pushchair was standing at the back of the crowd, hence her need to stretch to get a 'good' photo. Thankfully you were on hand quickly to help and perhaps you were concentrating on the victim to notice just how many lowlife were there. It was horrible, phones out- photographing, videoing, people laughing and jostling. Horrible.
  20. Local Cake Maker Helen Cristofilli https://www.facebook.com/madebymehc/ recently made my dad's 70th bday cake - it was fantastic - looked amazing, tasted great (was gluten and dairy free to boot!)
  21. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > An isolated incident. Move along. Nothing to see > here. Not according to the numerous people photographing and videoing the scene, not just teenagers 'grown-ups' too, even a mum with a little one in a pushchair was straining to get a good angle for her photo. Lowlife.
  22. I cycled past this 10 mins after it happened but clearly victim and/or perpetrator were still there - lots of police, ambulance and air ambulance hovering above looking for place to land. Big crowd of people laughing, jostling, photographing and videoing events. Made me despair at what humans have become. Hope victim makes full recovery.
  23. I'm not sure they're planning one this year - email [email protected] to check.

Heber has high > ceilings so it's sq metre size is large and more > children are allowed. Isn't Sq metre the floor footprint? If it included ceiling height it'd be cubic metre? As I said in my post the nursery is quite small which I did have reservations about at first, my son is very active but the space works really well for him, other than at drop off when parents go in with the children to hang up coats etc it doesn't feel overcrowded at all and they spend a lot of time playing outside (weather permitting, which even this year has been quite a lot surprisingly). The nursery space is well set up with different activities each day. At 3 and 4yr old , the children are quite small and what may seem a small space to us big folk is probably quite generous to wee ones...
  25. Streatham and Marlborough Cricket Club, they're based on the corner of Dulwich Common (just opposite the old harvester). Summer training starts next week, my daughter does 6 -8pm Wednesday - I think that'd be the same session for your daughter too.
