  4. ????

    Cheltenham....

    :)) main one in :)-D
  5. of course it works both ways, some of us are happy that we can relax in 'the gauntlet' places with sensible, more relaxed strangers and their generally well behaved children
  6. ...and now this breaking ...so if the world had listened to Cameron earlier less deaths etc...looks likeche was right on this. Now, probably an unresolved stalemate. Obahma has looked weak and useless on this. Style over substance big time methinks
  7. Surrey anyone?
  8. I'm officially out of this thread now.... joining the many. Ruined by the same ars*oles as always.
  9. Do it yourself, just put the tap on
  10. I think that GPs dish out the anti-biotics at the drop of a hat partly for Placebo/and or to get parents with ill kids of their backs as I believe ABs are only really effective against infection not viruses (I belive as a layman - and medicals please put me right) so she may have a viral infection. Homeopathy is hocus pocus crap though.
  11. ????

    Cheltenham....

The GC could be a classic race but not for betting. IC favourite but 3s! Denman after the op looked like could be interesting at the right odds but too short a price. KS surely past his best and again a poor price. My feel is it's between Long Run and IC but both poorly priced. No great value on a non-favourite at the mo (unlike IC last year ) but Kempes at 8s and mving down looks to have money going its way. Long Run is my small bet and more of a lump on on Mr Bobsworth earlier

  13. arrr you see that is probably unobtainable but when people say "Austrlia" I do think why the hell they aren't there?!
  14. ???? - errr...so we have to watch our children being attacked by little thugs? No thanks. Where did I say that? At all I'm out of this one and will take my views and experience with 3 under 6s that the parks and soft plays of the locality are pretty safe and friendly places with me. Be careful out there.
  15. ...er...did you miss that bit?
  16. The drawing blood thing is horrid, agreed,
  17. Can I be brave and say is it just possible you and others being a little bit sensitive? Trailling around your kid seeing every slight. The drawing blood thing is horrid, agreed, but on the whole in my experience - kids do this irrationally from time to time , kids that get it done to them (including mine) soon recover, most parents step in, certainly if they see it (they don't always admittedly), The local playgrounds and Peckham Soft play are really, really not crammed with viscious unpleasant out of control kids.
  18. Why doesn't anyone live where they would 'ideally' location wise? I just don't get it? Both of you last two's examples are liveable in tomorrow. So...there not really your ideal are they?....life's too short. Go if you mean it.
  19. News Journalists are basically, young, know nothing wordsmiths trying to get their stuff on the front page...even in the 'qualities'. Columnists can be idiots but you can read a bit mores sense there generally. Any news worthy event I've been at has normally been reported atrociously. To be honest as Mao once said "it's too early to say"; the weeks after 9/11* the papers were full of articles on the 'end of greed' 'New Yorks values shift from greed", a paradigm in making money' all utter grabage, six years later and the place was stuffed with Gordon Gekkoes out of their tits on coke earning mega, mega, mega bucks *see also reaction to Obama's election for a load of laughable, idealistic journalist tosh immediately after his election (good and importnat as it was for a blackman to become president of the US) for a President who to be frank has been sh!te...as a few of us cynics always suspected...better than Bush but hey

  22. ????

    Cheltenham....

I've had 3 bets, 2 wins Second Luitenant and Big Bucks. I have a decent tip for Mr Bobsworth (in the 2nd?) tomorrow.....Don't shoot the messenger. Not sure yet on the GC.
  23. I commute weekly back from Gatwick Airport to London Bridge 35 mins for ?8 (southern) or ?9 FCC...anyone who uses the Gatwick Express, especially to or from SE22 is a deserving, marketing fooled sap *points at MrCarnell*
  24. I agree Mamora...it's a huge 'story' to a degree rightly but it pulls on all sorts of irrational fears my gut feel is Nuclear will be back to normal in a few years people are 'doomesday' like irrational about this 75,000 deaths on US roads last year for instance to put it into perspective

I actually sometimes wonder why anyone who hasn't kids comes on here! Nearly six years of compulsory staying in with the babs gives me a reasonable excuse for approaching 10,000 ;-)
