Some people just don't really like other people -big, small, different, different accent, new, unknown to them etc. It's their problem really, I wouldn't worry about it. Social Media exaggerates it. Out their the vast majority of people of all sorts, with all their flaws, are basically decent.

Labour would have been slaughtered in the media for a lot of this budget, the 'ledt wing bits' - very political too. But some proper social engineering stuff in there too - which some are going to hate. Stopping the state funding more than 2 kids (in future); removing inefficient redistribtion (tax credits) but raising thresholds an/or in-work pay - this, will inevitably increase relative poverty among those houses that largely rely on the state. it is making welfare tougher - us that a cruelty or a necessity (maybe a cruel necessity) - that's what divides people most.

3/10 starts well but soon tapers into unoriginality

there was a decent thread (once :)) on scary pubs - i don't think i'd describe any ED pub as scary since I've been about this area mid-80s. A couple a bit lively maybe and a couple of villains ones. But far scarier in nearer areas Peckham/Camberwell just ressurected it in the lounge :)
