  1. I actually imagined the "run" to be a bit bigger than that, quite small isn't it, can you let them out to run around the yard and do a Rocky Balboa impression and try to catch them to put them back again? Lol
  2. But I'm sorry, all is not as rosy a picture as Chav and whoever else has painted, prositution may be a chosen profession for a lot of women, and they may feel they are empowered, in control or whatever, but it is damaging to them too, and often drugs usage/abuse run hand in hand with it too, (lots of prostitutes become hooked on hard drugs during these times) even Chav admitted to being a heroin addict, but I don't know if she was on the drugs first then turned to prostitution as a way of funding it, or was she a prostitute then takin drugs to make everything hazier and easier to deal with? That doesn't sound so empowering and enlightening to me, nor glamourous. I am also not saying that every hooker is a druggie either, but the two do seem to run hand in hand for a lot of people who chose this way of life. Not to mention the psychological and emotional problems it all causes in later life.
  3. In the summertime - Mungo Jerry
  4. Not to get stuck in the middle here, but in a way he kind of does have a point, what about the kids? How do they feel about it all? I bet they get no choice in how their mum portrays herself on national tv in front of all their friends, kids are cruel at the best of times and its them who have to deal with it and all the backlash, not the extremely outspoken and honest Chav, I think perhaps just a tad too honest sometimes. Sorry. (takes cover!)
  5. Its a long road - Supertramp
  6. It also stops arguments when you have more than one child and they like watching different things.
  7. Although Kings do not have the cleanest of hospitals or the friendliest accommodating of staff, (had my first there)if you have a problem birth or there are difficulties with the baby or something goes wrong, the neo-natal ward in Kings is untouchable for the most advanced of equipment and a lot more of it than most hospitals especially for prem babys
  8. Sorry should have read the other posts properly, (guilty of jumping the gun) you already know can't be deactivated, sorry,if I'd only known that I would not have bothered, only wanted a look and had to open an account to do so, wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
  9. Apparently there is no way of deleting your records from Facebook though, you are just shown as having logged off and the moment, even months later, even if you check in you will find your account, as well as all your details will still be recorded on there, the only thing is then the minute you log back on a message is sent to all your contacts telling them you are back on line. Once you have signed up there is NO WAY of cancelling the account or taking your details off, it just goes into hibernation, so best to limit your personal and privacy settings to the minimum.
  10. Most tvs are controllable and can be programmed to turn off and stay off at a certain set time, and popping in every now and then doesn't hurt either if they do have the tv on. My kids were more into National Geographical programmes and BBC Wildlife and Walking with dinosaurs, and stuff like that as they grew older, if the programme and viewing material is monitored I have no probs and they can learn lots too, they all also read a lot as well, but I see no harm in them having tvs in their rooms. They also grew up on Sesame Street and were all reading by the time they were 2 and half/3, because along with watching Sesame Street, learning colours, numbers and the variety of educational things, which are good for children, I felt these programmes supplemented and backed up what I was doing at home with them as regards reading, maths etc. all of course in a fun environment. Nowadays people have no excuse if their kids can't read, a lot of people look to the schools and blame the teachers for their children not being able to count or read, its a two way street and can't be left just purely down to the schools, no-one has a good enough reason not to sit down for 10-15 minutes a day reading with their children or helping them and even if you are busy you could always get an older sibling to help out, no excuses, especially then to turn round and blame the education authorities solely. But the kids are allowed to have fun stuff on tv as well, like at weekends, its not all educational but are only allowed a certain amount of time for it and as long as I know what it is, but that kind of stuff they usually watch downstairs, the tv is not on in their bedrooms 24/7 either.

  18. Here are the game rules for those who are not sure X 1) Post another song by the same artist OR 2) Post a different song and artist, however, the new song title must contain one of the words from the song title before it. Not from the artist, from the SONG TITLE. If someone posts at the same time as you, as can infuriatingly happen on occasion, either alter yours using edit button to fit in real quick or just quote the last poster to do it correctly.
