  2. thebestnameshavegone (TBNHG) - no worries, I was probably getting too defensive as well, and I enjoy reading your posts I'm not twitter-averse - I know exactly what you are talking about and effectively agree with most of it. I was trying, not to control what goes on, nor to avoid mention of the EDF but merely to point out that to use that particular hashtag in a different domain would, to my mind, warrant at least a heads up to Admin first. I don't think he megalomaniacal either btw
  3. it needs a global brand name for you to think "hey if I had spent 3 years building up a name and a presence on;y for it to have some control assumed by someone who has been registered for 2 days! I'd be a teeny bit cross"??? Why? If the name means so little to you, pick another one
  4. nice attitooode
  5. Oi - Max - you leave my Kant out of it
  6. Besides, rights aren't a finite resource. Giving rights to others doesn't take those rights away from you

  11. Also points for the xbox are the ability to download films as well as stream stuff from your pc wirelessly One minus point of the xbox however is the noise - if you are playing directly of a disc it can get pretty noisy But I've had mine for 4 years and think it's the best system I've ever owned (going back to my speccy in 83)
  12. Trying to have your cake and eat it a bit Mick aren't you keef "being consistent" isn't just "fine" - it's the fabric of a justice system. It's important to not let emotion come into it otherwise where would it end? If you are against the death penalty, as you say you are, then there isn't any room for manouevre. The Birmingham bombings were certainly digusting enough for many people to not give any consideration for the criminals involved. Just as well they weren't killed tho', right?
  13. peckhamboy - are you me? logic didn't work then either...
  14. Who, the young american? She'll survive the first round, but the queen bitch and the endless repetition will make sure it's no game for her
  15. They have that internet connection thingy don't they - could be a bet. Cheers LadyG
  16. All very well me suggesting The Castle but apparantly neither Ireland or UK is guaranteed to see this on TV on Wednesday as the money men try and extort the last cent out of the deal....
  17. Interestingly, Texas, the hardcore kill-'em state, is having second thoughts about the whole thing too oops Some people seem to have a worrying ability to describe and dwell on the details of horrific crimes. Or worse, they can conjure up a disgusting one as an argument for the death penalty. And they then condone the buthering and slaughtering of other people That makes them sound like people I would avoid just as much as the next murderer
  18. @ Mat Pretty much the same way as it has been handled - tried, guilty, will die in prison and kept from ever doing the same again
  19. Them = criminals ian. Not other countries or cultures
  20. But it's not about sympathy for the guilty - it's about being better than them
  21. How long would YOU last in there with all the madmen? After all there isn't much to do bar sit on a black country rock and write and 8 line poerm n some vague home of getting a win. I'm not sure I could cope under pressure
