  1. I was just bustin your chops a bit jjf. Ignore me
  2. Someone likes canary wharf as much as anywhere? Forget comparing it to Ed. Really?
  3. It'll be interesting to see who employs ferguson jr next "now are we employing you and you alone or do we have to deal with dad when the shareholders get pissy?"
  4. ah so this was a mistake? Not a calculated risk? riiiight
  5. Or you could let your guys work there and work out with your son why he ballsed up?
  6. ;-) Well if no pilot had ever landed a plane successfully, then yes, it would be like praying As it is it's more like assessing the risk and maximising possible positive outcomes It's not really a debate about plastic bags or NOTHING. It's a thread about a petulant customer who didn't get treated the way they expect and bleating about it instead of manning up and dealing with it
  7. Berating governments trying to get stuff done which will be unpopular with voters is even less so I would say It's very easy tho
  8. I'd still rather the pilot made the attempt to land (as so many do) - rather than be accused of smug for even trying
  9. Man am I glad you're not the pilot of my plane heading for a crash landing.

Funny how charming people get charming service more often, whilst rude service happens more frequently to....
  11. Given that the blog named nobody what was the harm in it? And given the hostility of the op, and the pretty good response from g and b on here I'm struggling to see why people still have a beef with them
  12. So Rosie and quids, you don't recycle anything at all because that would make you green-lite?
  13. On the Spurs front I should add my appreciation too As well as playing some pretty football, there is a genuine spirit (as opposed to the one Arsene is always banging on about in interviews) in the team ? coming back from 2-0 down to beat us is one example. Winning not one but two games over the Christmas period depite being down to 10 men in both is impressive as well If Arsenal don?t win the CL (oooh yeah Barcelona? shudder) then I?d be happy to see Spurs win it if they carry on at this rate You get the impression that they are winning over (in admiration terms, not actual changing of allegiance!) many supporters from other teams just as Liverpool appear to be alienating quite a lot of other supporters
  14. Petulance is never a good look, no matter who is wearing it So the deal is ?you have to keep my son as manager no matter what or I?m taking my players back? How does that benefit anyone?
  15. But why would you have done the same?
  16. so you make it sound like life as a motorist is intolerable AND life as a bus user is intolerable (forced as you were by big brother to use it) That's a heavy burden to be carrying around in life - how do the rest of us manage I wonder?
  17. If you ever bothered to use a bus instead of sneering you would know full well the benefit of us lanes ? transporting many many more people per sq foot than a car can If all of the people currently using buses started driving, THEN you would know what a delay was
  18. Simonet I don't think digital stations have a frequency do they? But if you don't have a DAB radio then you can always check out the website www.thearrow.co.uk and they are probably on digital TV listings under the radio section as well although judging by the playlist "Why should I head straight to The Arrow? If you love rock music and your tastes range from legends like the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, and Led Zeppelin, to the contemporary sounds of Coldplay, Oasis, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Killers, you?ll love The Arrow." it's not exactly hard to hear stuff
  19. Big bus lane markings Signs giving the permitted times Busy road near a main junction where anyone parking EVEN IF ALLOWED is going to cause a problem And people still want people standing by the side of the road with neon signs saying ?don?t park here? So many times I?ve had to tolerate people parking in bus lanes at that very junction ? getting cash out, popping into a shop, whatever ? oblivious to the problems they cause behind them. Buses have had to stop in the middle of the street blocking ALL traffic behind because the car is in the bus lane People unable to use wheelchair access because the bus can?t hit the kerb Near-daily it was when I was waiting just a few minutes at a bus stop ? so it obviously goes on all day And all because people are too lazy to park where they should
  20. Ok, I expect a few people will have been sent this anyway, but considering I'm in an all-but-empty office, it passed the time nicely More aggresive than passive obviously
  21. I read that this morning and thought "Damn, just as he's getting old enough for me to lighten up and give him his due" he does that Fact his, him takingthose 2-3 players back may well condemn Preston to relegation. And whilst he is within his rights to do it, to do it because a member of his own family got the sack is just nuts. It's conflating family matters with how another club tries to run it's business and is out of line
  22. Some very good posts from Ms_Lilith and others here but was the OP targetting someone? In my opinion yes. Tarot has made several cheeky posts on that McCann thread and several people have also called out the repetetive nature of that thread If Tarot wasn't laughing up his/her sleeve, then he/she also doesn'tgive any context for starting this thread
  23. It doesn't show
  24. There is your problem right there. Loads of people parking where they aren't supposed to So don't You don't get a fine Buses get to travel faster (keeping more people off the roads, helping car drivers too)
