Lord knows I defend the BBC often enough but the television news they produce is.. well willow described it perfectly. Especially the graphics! But they are all guilty of it - sometimes C4 news has me thinking that no-one learned anything from Day Today but there it is. That's what happens when surveys "say" that news is "boring".

Can we agree that Nevermind is one of those classicsnever get listened to anymore? For all the talk of Butch Vig's commercial production compared to the first album, I find it all very sludgy to listen to. All of the songs are etched forever in my brain I listened to it so much at the time. All of this may change if I download them to play on Rock Band however Am I also alone in thinking that U2's albums up until Achtung Baby left me cold and that I pretty much only like that, parts of Pop and parts of Passengers - then they went all normal again and I lost interest. Decent live tho...

going by my experience at my first drinks - trepidations - last minutes urge to bottle-out and leave before meeting anyone - dive in and hope for the best - ooh most people seem really sound! - OMG is that the time - how can it be kicking out already I've only been here an h.. oh - possible retirement to a late night venue (Kebab & Wine has been used in the past) or a nearby forumites house if everyone is in the mood to continue drinking - large hangover next day The last 3 still happen to me every time!
