  1. sorry Piers Golden-Nay
  2. ah go on!
  3. l'Appartment? I really enjoyed that (let's not mention the Hollywood remake)
  4. but why not ascertain how "unscrupulous" you were before launching in with volume up to 11? I'm still dazed by it - I mean "why????"
  5. Oi!! You ----> B) Nasty!
  6. it's a surprisingly rare name on Google isn't it?
  7. modern mobiles tend to have Bluetooth technology which basically identifies your phone to other Bluteooth users (anyone else with a mobile basically) You can choose what name to broadcast as - so if you are sat in a busy pub and want to see if a mate has arrived you could just check your mobile and list bluetooth devices in the room You can switch it off if it worries you obviously
  8. well, if that doesn't get us into the Couples thread I don't know what will...:)
  9. It must be the Arsenal one Arsenal Co-Op Nisha in Val's is always asking me what is happening with this place so if anyone does know..
  10. PR The clue is in the title of the thread
  11. Supremely well handled. The early, dry emails had me chuckling big time
  12. Put it this way PeckhamRose - If I had left it in Asset would have been very cross with me
  13. not in my house they're not!
  14. I like your thinking PeckhamRose edited for worst spelling error possible
  15. why, because I am fair-minded to the point of obsession of course! Well, that and the fact that the first time they were supporting the Flaming Lips (yay!), second time I gave em a fair go at their own show, and third time I was already at the festival
  16. Motorcycle Emptiness is my Manics tune of choice I almost feel bad for saying anything bad about them (BSP) - they are clearly popular and seem like good guys. Last time I saw them they were headlining a festival so we got the full stage foliage and film. And the rest of the day had been a succession of worthy but quiet acts so come show time I was well up for it... but 6 songs in I was "where's the beef" - I couldn't hum a tune of theirs if you payed me But I hereby promise to listen to those 3 tracks tonight when I get home
  17. Assuming there is a budgetary shortfall, but the school is well-liked, what would you do if you had the name of the school? Fund raise? Transfer the kids? Genuine question...
  18. what happend to the Camden Zavvi again? I love my big music, but I've sean BSP live 3 times now and I just don't get them at all. I read about them and I hear about them from others, but what I actually hear appears to live in Mundania Road
  19. I often wonder who leaves their phone as just the phone name? Assuming you want to use bluetooth at all you are going to need some kind of individual name and judging by the amount of k880is and N73s I see knocking around.... Rolo - it would make more sense for some of use to seek you out that way, but I believe yourecognise half of us from photos so just say hi Actually - if you did find a forumite this way - what would you actully do? Send a message saying "erm... Sean.. this is ZX8phone ... fancy a pint?"
  20. I've seen the owners daughter inside 72 often enough for her to be almost drinking age now, but very rarely have I seen many others. Too small for the buggy-users and probably a bit "coarse" for many parents as well... needless to say if I do ever have kids then as well as installing a fully-stocked library, showing them around a games controller and learning how to cycle, they will be shown around the bars of ED toute suite
  21. hey giggirl - you've been quiet of late snorky - I kind of support what you're saying in that it appears many of us have jumped "onside" fairly quickly But leaving aside who is right and wrong, I'm genuinely curious as to know what other people would do if they had the same problem in the same location, and do you think it hasn't occured to G&B
  22. I've often wondered that too Rolo - never found a single one! But I am down as me....
  23. With the possible exception of Grolsch I'd have to object to the other lagers being on ANYONES's list (ooh before I go any further, I'm a fan of the CPT too) and Strongbow is possibly the worst cider in existence (with some strong competition from Woodpecker) For good lagers, the child-friendly Plough wins hands down. But Inside 72 serves Lowenbrau so is the winner Sorry - had to get that off my chest.
  24. to my mind series 3 and 4 are the strongest But I watched an ep from series 2 on FX last night and was hooked for the whole thing - already classic scenes are magnified by the events that happen later on
  25. The photo tagging thing seems to me to be the biggest invasion - most of the rest is in our hands but not that As for Too right Keef - and if anyone down as my "friend" ever tries that on they get a stroppy message, some useful links and a final warning!
