  1. a brave man who resurects this thread Brendan.... good article tho
  2. is that from "Songs for Drella" Jah? I love that album
  3. Hi Bren It was definitely there 4 years ago.. maybe you were "cut" yourself ;-)
  4. Glad to see this place seeing some action again.. Because I have started to receive emails from someone with the same surname I have started to sing this incessantly Dan Hartman - I Can Dream About You
  5. I can tell you that fans have sent their verdict in and the consensus is it's the best so far - which is as close to being impossible as can be..... get the chicken marinading now!
  6. gold, I tell you, gold
  7. I can second the recommendation - it is old school and I feel like I'm on holiday when I'm there for some reason but good for all that A few threads have sprung up around it - this one being an example Moulin And if it does weave around all over the place you should still get the gist
  8. Ooh I second the Fox - used to work near there and went quite a few times But if this thread is going to go down the "Gastropubs have gone to far" road then it is no longer "Best Gastro in London" thread - so if you don't want to get lounged I would suggest talking about places you do like (you know what the Admin is like)
  9. succinctly put young Keef... had been trying to formulate the right words meself
  10. I do hope that was tongue in cheek downsouth... For 1 - Green spaces everywhere 2 - but a bustling main drag of bars and restaurants 3 - 11 ins from the City by train 4 - real sens of cimmunity 5 - you get to meet the people behind the names on this forum Against 1- Not the prettiest of places
  11. lol.... anyway to get back on topic Do we agree that kids playing "out" - be it street/local park etc is a good thing or are they better off tucked up with a TV in the bedroom/copy of the Economist over the cornflakes?
  12. take risks in the market but absolute control at home, eh? ...looks for "rolls eyes" emoticon
  13. Must Not Get Too Carried Away But holy moly... I was not one of the doom-mongers pre-season and I thought we would improve without Thierry (still a ledge - no disrespect) but even so we are playing for fun at the mo Individuals: Hard - everyone is pulling their weight. Of the relative newbies, Sagna is getting better and better. Eduardo has only had a few cameos but manaages to score on most of them But we are much more physical and don't get bullied.... I'll regret saying all this soon because we will get turned over in due course - but very satisfied punter tonight
  14. OMG Michael - Space 1999 - classic example. Never been more frightened by one episode in my life....
  15. Not at all Keef - I've done the same on a couple of others...
  16. Have to say downsouth, if you don't know your neighbours whose fault is that? In agreement with Asset re: cars being the bigger problem Top end of Friern Rd has a fair few lads and lasses all of whom might look like trouble to an average Daily Mail reader but have been sweet as pie as I've watched them grow from 9 to 16
  17. "fragments" is just the right word Keef - stuff that hasn't entered one's mind for years and years and then boom - "ooh yeah!" But the flipside (and I don't know if this has happened with the clips) is the "magic" gets lost when you actually revisit them - I loved a program called "Children of the Stone" when I were a lad... happy day!... but when I saw it again years later - oh dear
  18. If I was a gambling man I would have guessed the people on here who are "yes" and "no"
  19. really Keef? I'm not quite sure if you have gone up or down in my book.... I think up, but that is dedication to the cause young man!
  20. "the not knowing is easy... and the suspectin, that's ok just don't tell me for certain..."
  21. the written word isn't something everyone is good at and I think people have cottoned on that a "dry" email or post can come across a bit stridently so emoticons can help them Of course that means people who are offensive try an abuse that but we can tell the difference I think I use them, but try not to - far better to choose words carefully
  22. I think you could be spot on there Christopher... I "take" Time Out every week as it is an entertaining read with a couple of good writers and listings - but I wouldn't trust it's opinion on anything....
  23. CALIFORNIA Pork with paprika, chili and capsicum peppers. Slightly spicy and great for barbecue. mmmmm - you know me well young Mr Mc The range sounds very similar to the sausage place in the vaults under London Bridge... could be suppliers I guess - I often stop off and pick some up from there
  24. Westward Ho! (only place in UK to have an exclamation mark in the name fact fans) See you Friday
  25. ah good stuff - I'm glad Mike P got a good turn up - sorry I couldn't make it
