  1. Another resident of that end of LL here... goodliz - I'm so glad it's you who joined and not that badliz girl. She's trouble ;-) I hope it's more than just flats - we've spoken on many a thread about what type of shops we would like to see If it was an M&S it wouldn't be the end of the world but while others have complained what that would do to the parking I am more interested in what it will do to traffic volumes, plus the loading/unloading disruption. Personally I doubt M&S would choose a location that far from the strip further down..
  2. Saw arcade fire at bristol academy and sheffield lead mill on their first tour a couple of years back. Really glad they are playing the festivals and converting more and more. i would echo mockney s comments on the round house as well. Great venue. Bush hall also good. Spit z was good but is closing slash moving. i was hoping to see hammel on trial in camden but sold out.
  3. I can't for the life of me recall where I had that idea from - I'll edit post and remove the comment. Cheers
  4. Were we? I've had a quick re-read... hmmm. Ok it was a little teasing on my part but I was just glad to have her back. She has been quiet of late
  5. I would echo mamafeelgood's comment re: whatever about the worth of the business at least one of LL's eyesores will have disappeared
  6. It says the housing market moves too quickly for a potentially weeks old publication to be of much use IMO Living South used to at least try to pretent to provide editorial content but since the current editor took over I would rather read the free Sky magazine* * A lie. Obviously. But Living South remains next to useless
  7. "Aren't unmarried partners forbidden there?" Question left in to make sense of subsequent posts but I was wrong to think that
  8. oooh no mama - don't take offence. It's a thread I'm fond of and I like your thinking. Just wondered why you didn't catch the link I sent yesterday Someone else actually started a thread by publishing a map with various areas signposted too, which can only be a good thing
  9. To be a Libran about this* and to balance criticism of Ashley Cole, one could never accuse him of being lazy. A damn fine player. Unfortunately his egomania and greed exceed even the standards set by the others mentioned * ie try and be un-biased but purely because of who I am and not because of the bleedin month I was born
  10. True, true Jah, but not everyone who posts is as aware of the vast back-catalogue of this place Any road, mamafeelgood you will find a lengthy-ish thread here: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,24929,24929#msg-24929 Hang on tho, t'was you who I was replying to in that other thread as well!
  11. Scribbles furiously in diary
  12. Until work did intrude
  13. Louisa has been away for a while... I think the least we can accept now is a little cattiness ;-)
  14. A thread devoted to this very conversation which exists elsewhere... A warning from the Administrator... A cheeky mock from me... And STILL!
  15. re: cost Well, a large proportion of those buildings appear to be proper, City, type jobs so let Messrs Lynch, Morgan and co worry about the cost of those If you mean the cost of the Olympic and related municipal stuff then clearly we are collectively going to be paying for it. But then again, I LIKE collectively paying for stuff. Gives us a sense of community and shared ownership. Oftentime anyway I like the Dome. As a building. Not for anything they have done with it. Ever. but as a building. I wouldn't go back to a time before it existed. And most of it was paid via lottery money anyway. Which is NOT the same as taxation.
  16. Oh - and hats (at least) off to the guy who put the hours in on that picture
  17. if people will ignore the Administrator.. Anyroad, best place to continue this conversation is here: NY & Dulwich? I miss Jerk Rock.. (BARELY bringing things back on topic!)
  18. Am I alone in thinking it looks pretty cool? Having lived in that part of the world (east London) any, and I mean ANY, development would be welcome. But I'm not scared of big buildings - especially in the zoned parts of town it's happening.
  19. Do what I did with Nisha at Val's and print off the thread Then again, she ordered me to do that and I didn't feel like arguing
  20. Cheers for the update/review Keef and welcome back t'forum
  21. Ah mr bob. . If i didnt like football would i still read a long thread about it just to see who is posting what hmmm. . . ;-)
  22. Mm a great post and one i cant find a single thing to disagree on. Its such a bang on review of the road they should post it on lamp posts for people new to the area
  23. So that's at least 2 people who aren't sucked in for the first time. Which just happens to be the first summer the forum has been available Coincidence?
  24. I did wonder Citizen! Wenger bought Anelka as a striker didn't he? Apart from being the world's oldest child, he was pretty handy But let's never ever mention Jeffers
  25. definitely died for me. I have tuned in for the first week of each series but could not bear: a) the cast list b) BB's endless tinkering c) THAT woman (Davina) It's not fatigue.. if I watch an earlier series the relative simplicity of the format made for enjoyable enough viewing but it's nigh on unwatchable nowadays
