  1. I don't mind the foxes.
  2. Or one of these http://www.rewindmuseum.com/images3/amstrad7000top.jpg
  3. Brendan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Murder the Government Hey, actually that album's really well produced. Ryan Greene's a wizz behind the desk.

A camping/outdoor shop could work, I can't think of anything similar nearby. Not enough teenage boys round here for a guitar shop.
  5. What (actual proper) countries haven't had a stab at ruling the world at some point? The Empire is in the past, time to move on!
  6. I just noticed that these headphones are made by Monster Cables. A company renowned for expensive products which provide little or no discernible improvement in sound quality. Hmmm...
  7. The Trident replacement is the elephant in the room. The hugely expensive project, which the majority of the UK are not in favour of. The nuclear deterrent which we wouldn't need, if we weren't so intent on exerting our influence overseas.
  8. At first I thought the MrBen account had been hacked and spammed. I wonder how much of the price goes towards the celebrity endorsements?

  10. A men's clothes shop would struggle for custom for 5 days a week.
  11. - No responding to your own songs - "Vavoom" cannot follow "Oye Como Va"

    This is a joke, right...
  13. Is it remotely possible that the police were looking for a particular person who matched a description?
  14. red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > This weeks stereotypical wind-up thread...'All > black people have got rhythm...discuss' They do, it's true. TonyLondonSuburbs said so. "Natural rhythm", in fact.
  15. kpc Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Add Balti to the list. Hell yeah, if Birmingham isn't up north, I don't know where is. > Even stranger, saying "Thank you" to the driver when getting off the bus. I heard someone say that once on the 176. Stunned silence swept the lower deck.
  16. Do a relevant degree. Apply to all the graduate programmes. Do some reading up. Buy a decent suit. See what happens. If you're lucky, you'll be in for a lifetime of staring at Bloomberg pages and spreadsheets by day, and schmoozing with clients by night. If you're unlucky, you'll fail, and might actually end up doing something enjoyable instead.
  17. The Buzzcocks The Smiths The Beatles The Specials (Coventry is up north, right?) Cheap booze Cheap houses Gazza trying to save Moaty Chips with everything Inexplicable rivalries between every "major" city The north has some redeeming qualities. But the "talking on the bus" thing is very strange.
  18. We're probably not as far apart as you think... I'm not exactly some sort of raving thatcherite - far from it, in fact. But debating on here is not always fun, especially when people are playing games of one-upmanship. In fact, sometimes it gets to the point when I'd actually rather do work instead.
  19. Oh gawd... not them...
  20. I'm not interested in engaging in the VAT debate again, I was just using it as an example. I seem to remember illustrating how the wealthier would pay proportionately more (in some cases more so than with income tax), in return I was told that my "views are offensive". That kind of attitude spoils it for everyone.
  21. I promised myself I'd give up arguing on this stuff... the nonsense about the VAT rise hitting the poorest hardest pushed me over the edge! I like that people argue with so much passion, but sometimes you have to balance it out with a bit of logic and reason.
  22. I'll pop in (or out?) to the Ivanhoe Rd one. The other half started getting worryingly competitive when she heard there was a cake competition. I'll bring some chicken and a few beers... donkey sounds good too, maybe with a jerk marinade.
  23. Same basic answer - risk of not getting repaid
  24. It's OK, it can look good. It depends on your style. I mean, celtic swirls or japanese characters, on a scrawny Essex boy with his collar turned up - not good. Dennis Avner (aka "Cat Man") - not good. But if you're a punk, a breakdancer, or one of those "alternative burlesque" ladies... why not.
  25. He looks like Carl Froch without the bulk (and that's not good). Still, at least he's got one of those special Logic keyboards.
