  1. Well there are 3 bed terraces on the market now for just over the 400k mark... although they probably need a bit of work. So if we can expect another 15% drop, ?350k doesn't sound too unrealistic. I can't see it going much below that though, as returns may start becoming attractive for by-to-let investors again.

I genuinely don't know if they did but > Both of those seem like political/moral stances > that contradict their contract of employment and > their 'duty'. I would say that in both these cases, their bias means that they are not capable of serving the public, therefore they should not be in that job. Just my opinion...
  3. Pistachio Club is our 2nd choice along LL... but while some of their dishes are lovely ("red chicken curry" and some of the fish ones), some are a little bland. I can see how you could come away feeling rather underwhelmed. Had a takeaway from Jaflong last night, and after a rather dodgy looking bit of chicken, I shall not be returning for the dine-in experience.
  4. I do believe in democracy and freedom of speech, and all that... but I also believe that rooting out racism in the police and armed forces is important. And if sacrifices to our ideology have to be made, then so be it.
  5. I know the Romans used concrete, but I thought the Colosseum was made from bricks and stone blocks. I guess they may have used concrete too though...
  6. seanmlow, was yours also a French hottie?
  7. I don't think people have a problem with anyone making money as such. But people have a problem with someone intentionally letting the building crumble in order to make a profit. I don't think The Colosseum is made of concrete.
  8. Green Door - Shakin' Stevens
  9. I think there were 2 in ED, and a few more in Camberwell and Peckham. Although I'm also a little uneasy about all this, I don't have too much sympathy. And on the plus side, it may make potential members think twice about joining this vile organisation.
  10. Bozza - for me, the main plus point with Tandoori Nights is that the food isn't too greasy, which means I'm not busting out curry flavour burps the next day. There also seems to be more depth of flavour than your average curry. I very much doubt the food is authentic (not that I'm qualified to say), but it tastes good to me.
  11. Run To The Hills - Iron Maiden

    Keefs Band

Band Aid - Feed The World (in the vein of the original version). Get the horn section going... you can't lose.
  13. Sometimes there is a fine line between sadness and rage. Perhaps he's just realised that he looks nothing like The Hulk, and is, in fact, rubbish and turquoise.
  14. Yes, that's the one. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4273542.stm So not random... apologies for unintentional "scare-mongering". Just don't steal a stereo from a "prized BMW", and you should be fine.
  15. I hear their speciality is going to be Incredible Hulk birthday cakes. http://www.cakez.co.uk/cakes_3/birthday_cake_4.jpg
  16. Can you start a youtube "channel" or something? Or do you have to pay for those?
  17. Probably just as well.
  18. Run Run Run - The Who
  19. I remember your photos, Pierre... must have been a horrible experience. I'm sure you're less likely to get attacked on a main road - but does anyone remember the machete attack on the cyclist outside McDs in Camberwell?
  20. redrouge - I think you're missing the point, it's beyond repair now and I expect it's actually dangerous. I think we all would have like to see it rescued... it's scandalous that it's been allowed to deteriorate. But the damage has been done, and now there's not really much choice other than to knock it down.
  21. Should be able to make it... can't promise to stay away from the Karaoke though.
  22. Wind Of Change - The Scorpions!!
  23. I must have mis-interpreted it then! I assumed from the above that all East Croydon trains through ED were being axed.
