Hope the coffin doesn't disintegrate too quickly. Otherwise someone's going to get a nasty surprise when you wash up on the beach.
  3. The estate version of the VW Golf, Ford Focus, Kia Ceed, Seat Leon, Toyota Auris, etc should all suit a family of 5 looking for an modestly priced car. Or maybe a Volvo V50?

  5. I'd like to be turned into compost, and "fed" to a fruit tree. Maybe cherry.
  6. I don't think he had any choice but to scrap the tax credit cut. Just about the most unpopular thing the tories have suggested since the poll tax.
  7. Is that Franklins offering curry, chips and pint for ?1.80? Sounds good.

    X Factor 2105

Surely just different names for exactly the same thing. Like Emmerdale and Emmerdale Farm.

Weren't Girls Aloud and The Saturdays also spawned from this ridiculous show?
  11. On one hand it's reassuring to see that the council are making sure these businesses can continue after the redevelopment. But TBH I kinda like all the businesses mixed in together, rather than partitioned out.. makes the area feel unique and interesting.
  12. Well that's the beauty of the hyroden fuel cell... longer range, more power, quick refilling. Cars running purely on battery will never be suitable for all.
  13. I imagine that within many of our lifetimes, most cars will be electric. I think both battery powered and hydrogen fuel cell cars will have a place in the market, as they are suited to different type of journey and owner. Never driven an electric car... theoretically shouldn't they beat conventional cars hands down in terms of torque/acceleration?
  14. Hmm... yeah. I heard there was a "high speed" link from St Pancras, but it still seems takes an hour and a half! But there is a direct train from Brolmey, for Louisa and Salsaboy.
  15. Not sure crab and chips is the done thing at "any seaside town" but it's certainly a thing in the Isle Of Wight.. which is a lot of things, but not exactly posh. As for Margate.. very much on-the-up (although I have yet to witness this first hand). None of which has anything to do with Honest Burgers, which btw are very tasty indeed, and despite the "g" word and the "h" word, will be an excellent addition to Peckham IMO.
  16. I imagine the estate are anti-cashpoint, otherwise the Barclays would already have one.
  17. Yeah the skoda badge is hard to live with for anyone who remembers the 70s/80s. But nevertheless I don't imagine the Honda CR-V is much of a driver's car. Perhaps the Octavia might sound more appealing if you suggested the VRS model. Talk of fuel economy or "solid shape" are probably not going to do you any favours.
  18. Could do a lot worse than a stopover in Dijon. Should be there in time for dinner. A good sleep, and then a half day drive to Courchevel the next morning.
  19. Well it is deep fried fish in breadcrumbs, served inside a bread roll. So quite a lot like a fish finger sandwich. Tasty though.
  20. Oh I'm with Sue too. Just don't think she should rise to it and allow it to be dragged out.
  21. Brockley Market. It's basically a fish finger sandwich.
  22. No please... no links... just... no.
  23. I don't necessarily agree with the way Sue handled the original episode, but in posting her congratulations to Franklins, this to me sounded reconciliatory. So she doesn't seem to be the one who needs to get over it.

Yeah we popped in and bought some bits, and had a chat. It is predominantly a wholesaler, but open to the public on Saturdays in partnership with "The Charcuterie Board" - They've got a few tables and chairs set up, and are planning on doing coffee, wine, beer etc too soon.
