There's a nice cafe on the seafront where Brighton meets Hove-Actually. The only time I parked in that multi-storey behind the Metropole I had a quarter-light smashed and an attempt to steal petrol. The Lanes is always worth a tour!

You could have composted it :-) I have a bottle of sweet white wine that's at least 30 years old....I cannot imagine ever drinking it. It sits glumly in the cellar looking decidedly middle-aged...

Really Arsenal could have been 4-0 down after 20 minutes, and would have been but for Almunia. Then he sent out his evil twin for the second half. The 2nd leg should be intriguing..no Barcelona 1st choice centre backs v a Fabregas-less Arsenal. I fear this time it may well be 4-0...

Spain v Brazil would make a great final, but it's a rare world cup that has no early upsets/form losses/key injuries. Italy always over-perform in their horrid, negative way. I think England will do well to make the quarters, and that Netherlands look the best dark horses.

Of course they will. It is a great Brirish electoral tradition. And a budget of this kind is always prefaced with words to the effect "Gosh the previous lot left a far bigger mess than even we imagined, so I'm going to have to cane you even more. Not our fault though, obviously"
