  1. I really don't think Rooney ahould be penalised at all for this. I think Sky merit criticism for holding live microphones near players during the course of a match.
  2. Alan Bennett got a book and a West End play out of his charitable actions - a lesson to be learned here I think? :)
  3. I thought the annual Southwark Show was at Southwark Park, not Burgess. It was 1 of three organised each summer at fornightly intervals in June & July by the Council? The other 2 were at Peckham Rye and Belair, the latter coinciding with the annual Steam mFair there. They were all cancelled for reasons of economy IIRC, but were always packed out and enjoyable except when it rained.
  4. "Dissection", unlike "Bisection", doubles the "s", so should be pronounced in a similar way to "dissent", "dissonance" etc etc.. ;-)
  5. Spoeaking of gloating, please allow me, in a gloat-opportunity-free season, just to bellow repeatedly "Sheffield Utd 2 Leeds United 0"! >:D
  6. Er...we know there were two killers, and one has already been identified and done a suicide-by-cop! :)) The pattern thus far of this riveting series seems to be to introduce a new suspect/red herring at the start of alternate episodes, and show how he cannot be the culprit in the following episode. In between these 2 events we get to holler from behind the sofa at Lund for stupidly going into darkened, perilous buildings without back-up, flashlight, gun, portable nuclear weapon etc etc. With just 2 hours to go I still think it could be Rie's dad!B)
  7. Given Man U's current defenders' crisis I reckon Chelsea's attack might gel at last. Plus Real to beat Spurs over 2 legs but maybe not at WHL!
  8. What a fascinating game to watch...and how typical of Sky to miss that final run-out!

  10. Nice interview with - and fablous photo of - Sofie Grabol in today's Observer. in which she explains the jumper's origins. I hope the Beeb buys the second and third series...
  11. This series seems to be supplying quite enough red herrings - no need to BYO oily fish!B)

  14. It's unfortunate ITV scheduled "Monroe" immediately before "House" over on Sky1 though...
  15. Hmm..how many levels of irony on view if QPR (manager, C. Wanker Esq.) get a points deduction for "doing a West Ham"? :))

  18. Palace look safe enough to me, given that Sheffield United have yet to win in 2011...and we have QPR away live on Sky on 3rd April! Can't quite recall who QPR's mabnager is, but know he is most unFergie-like where TV interviews/expressing his opinions are concerned...:))

  20. I was trying to remember whether that shocking foul on Nani was before or after he gifted Liverpool that second, crucial goal? Whatever, although Nani has played sublimely at times this season, today was a really bad day at the office for him. I tend to agree with Keef - Gerard put a land lightly on Nani's shoulder after the Carragher foul and he promptly dropped as if shot..

  24. But thus far Lund's instinct has been pretty crap anyway has it not? whichever knitwear she favours. I still have no idea whodunnit but hope it is the politician's girlfriend's father...
