  1. Agree with the need to increase frequency and buggy space...really frustrating waiting a long time, only to have the bus pass by as they are already carrying two buggies.
  2. Sorry, another thought is to try and find out who the local Health Visitor is and report it to them.
  3. Contact NSPCC who deal with these things daily....skirting around with 'problems with the noise' could make things worse with the children being locked inside away from prying eyes. 'It gets worse at weekends' suggests this is ongoing, sustained punishment which is different from the occasional need to create space to let off steam.
  4. whereabouts is it, time and cost?
  5. Good ploy...will look into it...Thank you
  6. Thanks Becca...will start there!
  7. Hoping to take my 4yr old next Monday and wondered if anyone knew of any vouchers/coupons/promotions around. I know sea-life centres are often included on many of the 2for1's but often exclude the London one.... Any help gratefully received x
  8. Ditto Wiz's post. Have a son in yr 1 and another in Nursery starting Reception in Sept. Also happy to meet up if you have a child starting in September.
  9. Hello James, Another thread talks about the abolition of the Noise Team. Who would we contact to oppose this cut? Thank you.
  10. Albrighton Centre - Bouncy Castle comes with the hire of the hall if you request it.
  11. It makes me nervous for secondary school when all these bulges at Primary need to feed into the existing schools.
  12. Yes, I'd second an East Dulwich venue...
  13. For the record Bessemer Grange is also having a bulge class!...So that's St Johns, Goose Green, Bessemer, Dulwich Village...alot of bulges! I have just turned down a place at Dulwich Village as we are so happy with Bessemer, but if you are happy with St Johns being near will make life easier!
  14. No the brand new building is now up and running on Albrighton Road itself. Let me know if Otta's number doesn't work and I will try and search the number out. There usually is someone there at the desk but know for sure that someone will be there 10 - 11.30 am Thurs (tomorrow) as they have a bookstart session on (you could entertain the kids at the same time!), also most of Saturday morning for Saturday club and Tae Kwon Do.
  15. But didn't they tell the original poster that it was on Sunday which has now passed?
  16. Albrighton centre has a room and outdoor space and throw in a free bouncy castle with the hire price I think. It's on Albrighton Road half-way up Dog Kennel Hill.
  17. Don't know all the footpaths around , yes I'm sure you can...the way I would come from Sainsburys is out past the car cleaning set-up and take a right at the mini-roundabout down the path going alongside the Hamlet football ground...keep going until you come out at Greendale. Turn right and take the immediate left little passageway...the school is on your left...
  18. For those looking for something different to do with young children, or want to check out the school in a more informal way (held in the Nursery area/playground): 11am - 3pm Dylways SE5 8HP (nearer than you think!) -Bouncy Castle -Badge Making -Book Making -Storytelling
  19. Bessemer is probably the nicest walk from where you are - no hill with the short cut, as opposed to DKH, and away from the busy roads. Worth looking at the latest ofsted from January this year I think 'Bessemer is a good and improving school' for reassurance. You may find that you are put on a waiting list for there though if you have already emailed to turn the place down..they may have offered that place to someone else.
  20. If you can drop them off, The Albrighton Centre will take them for their Nearly New Sales raising money for the youth club. Situated on Albrighton Road. Someone there most of the time and easy to park.
  21. Worth writing his bus registration down or noting the time and bus and complaining to the bus company. If there's another thread about him it is not just you he's upsetting, so you can point out it is not just you that has been affected and he is not serving his company properly by treating customers this way.
  22. Headinizm next to the EDT does a ?5 haircut for under fives.
  23. Great value if you go out of school holidays and mid-week. We always go December/January and have a fantastic time. We've only ever stayed in the cheapest but paid the extra to be as close as possible. I like it for visiting the spa a couple of times on my own and using the time-out clubs can give you two a bit of time together.
  24. Do you know where you'll be holding these? and do you do a sibling discount? Thanks
  25. We're going to try the new classes mentioned on here for Tae Kwon Do on a Sat 1-2pm at The Albrighton Centre. ?4 drop-in. There is also Judo at Fusion 4.30 - 6 (Haven't tried but going to give it a go tomorrow!).
