Received this from SNT. It has been brought to Police attention that there is dog fouling occurring around the Goodrich School area, SE22. Please be advised that it's illegal and dangerous to public's health, especially for young children as it can cause serious illness. It is the dog owner's or the person in charge of the dog(s) responsibility to clean dog waste properly and dispose of it safely. Failure to do so may render you, the dog owner or person in charge of the dog(s), with a penalty notice of fine. Nothing against parties but keep the music down say after midnight. From what I gather from relative - there were about 20 or so people talking vary loudly in the street, clearly heard through double glazing. When we used to have parties - always inform neighbours and invite them.

The police are fully aware of these and we discussed this at the Dulwich Hill SNT meeting last night. In order to be legitimate sellers they need to have a pedlars licence and be able to produce this at the door. I will put up the full details later.

We had retired greyhounds in the past and although they would not bit people, they would sometimes take a nip at other animals, so to protect other dogs and cats, the dogs were not allowed out without muzzles. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Many people were swayed into voting leave by certain politicians who promised additional funds to NHS etc. Did they expect that leaving would happen almost straight away and that all our problems would be solved?. Immigration from non EU countries will not cease and it is clear that many EU workers are involved in the hospitality, care and agricultural industries. I have worked with many EU hospital doctors and nurses in Kings and also in the past at Maudsley - the loss of such staff will have serious consequences on the NHS. I imagine most of us did not think of the impact of a leave vote on N. Ireland and its' borders with Eire. Much regeneration of cities/area were helped by EU grants - it is not all about straight cucumbers! Most 'bad things' about being in EU can be counteracted by the 'good'. Those Brits who live abroad will need to decide whether to associate themselves with their country of preference or return to GB. I discovered years ago in connection with my work that those who chose to live in Spain etc and sell up to return to GB will not automatically be eligible for help with housing from their local council if they lack the necessary funds to purchase a home in GB. Would Cameron have made a better deal? I think a People's Vote should have several questions on it - Do you support the current deal proposed by TM? If no then indicate your preference 1. A no deal Brexit. 2. 2nd Referendum

I know that our ward police officers have turned up at schools where this is a problem and spoken with parents. Traffic Enforcement Officers do not appear to do anything about this. This has been a problem for over 20 years as my youngest is now in her 30s and we had the same issues back then.

Last night there appeared to be a very loud party going on near the Plough end of Barry Road. As we have a family member who has to get up at 3 am to be at work for 4.30 am, he only managed to get 3-4 hours sleep and ended going into work at 2.30 am as unable to get back to sleep. Also a lot of people hanging around in Barry Road talking loudly.

In the summer holidays there are various holiday clubs for the 5 - 11 year olds which are open generally from 8 - 6 pm. Gumboots After School club have a 4 week summer holiday club at the East Dulwich Community Centre. Make contact with the club (who meet from school closure time until 6 ish term time only) to get details of dates and costs.

I was assuming that this would be a cash in hand position and based on a 2 hour evening could be ?15 - ?18 per evening. However, if it is a 'payslip situation' would need to be more. Also dependant on boys ages - the less independent they are would require more input from carer. My now 15 year old grandson, used to prepare his own tea from the age of 12/13 and when his mother came home from work around 6/6.30 she would cook dinner for all of them.

using the word 'baby sitter' gives the impression that children are under 4/5 years old. I would use After School Care required - I would suggest around ?15 - ?18 per evening.

Why waste money on the posters advertising ED which are being seen all over ED.

Report to Neighbourhood Police (Dulwich Hill ward).

I previously worked for Southwark and had many dealings with other Southwark Departments. Most of these departments were unhelpful. If you got someone good, you developed a good working relationship with them and used them to gain direct phone numbers etc of colleagues in their department. I made a few good contacts in Housing over the 20 plus years with Southwark, which saved a lot of time as they frequently gave information and pointed me in the right direction. When a Housing Officer came to a meeting with me regarding a tenant who had become seriously disabled - I could not believe it!! I was lucky in my job as we were encouraged to use our initiative/knowledge/networking skills and experience without seeking managerial approval for every step of the way. We all abided by the 'rules' and tried if someone rang our team by mistake to give them a name, number, email address and postal address.

The fence dividing our house with our neighbour is falling down and preventing our front door being opened. Neighbour is a semi detached property - freehold owned by council with downstairs flat being council rented and upstairs flat being leasehold. Our deeds show that this fence is 'council's responsibility'. Looking at the fence (about 10 -12 feet in length) we have propped up one section of the fence half way down but cannot do this at the house end. The aris rails are on our side and looking over the fence I can see large sections of original broken fencing, so it would seem that sometime in the house history, our house owners got fed up with broken council fence not being repaired and installed a new one. Neighbour has extensive scrubs/climbing plants/etc whose branches etc are breaking through the fence onto our side. In order to report this on line and by phone you need a Southwark Account number, which as owner occupiers we do not have. There is no address listed for the repairs team (Tooley Street/Queens Road) to cannot report in writing. Many years ago our garden fence (council's responsibility) collapsed and it took almost a year for Southwark to replace it. Only put up chain link as were not prepared to replace wooden fencing. We have maintained all the fencing back and front on the right hand side facing house as our responsibility. costing several hundreds of pounds including workmen. Any suggestions as to how I go about contacting Southwark Repairs or our legal position as I do not fancy another year long battle.

I am a trustee of 2 charities and am a bank signatory. We pay most bills and wages by cheque. One charity we pay wages by cheque and have for over a year been trying to arrange BACs payment for staff wages - Barclays have consistently lost our ID forms, given conflicting information etc. Over the past 3 years I have produced all by ID at least 4 times and they still manage to get things wrong.

Our daughters were encouraged at an early age to cook meals for everyone. Youngest daughter could do a roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings by the time she started at secondary school. Give them some money and send them shopping for food for the family for say a weekend and expect them to cook for everyone. Give a monthly allowance (rather than pocket money)to encourage budget planning. Decide together what items that parents will be financially responsible for and what kids are expected to pay for. We started this when our girls were around 13/14 and wanted trips to cinema/going out with friends etc. They got weekly pocket money prior to this and expected to keep room tidy and help with odd household tasks. Allow some freedom but be firm as to house rules i.e. school night had to be home by certain time, weekends x time. Always know where they are - i.e. visiting x friend's house, going to x cinema and who they are with. Have an Open House and encourage them to bring friends around, so you get to know who they are with, and know friends personalities and their influences on your child. With eldest daughter, it was nothing unusual to have 4 or 5 friends popping round for the evening - consequently even in late teens and at Uni, many of friends still kept in touch with us. Whilst not be a willing taxi service, if possible and situation arises, be prepared to pick up from venues, especially late evenings. Install safety measures to be taken when out - i.e. not use phone in public places, never walk home alone at night. We encouraged sleepovers so that if daughters were out with friends, that rather than splitting when journey home, they stayed at our house. This was agreed with all the parents of friends that no one ever went home alone from an event. Discuss events that are happening in the neighbourhood and wider, encourage independent thinking. I always remember going to a parents evening and hearing my daughter's sociology teacher talking about her way of thinking and analysing situations and asking us if we had discussions at home. As I was doing a degree at the time, there were plenty of ideas swapping and suggestions from my daughter (doing GCSEs at the time) for my own assignments. Our philosophy has always been, treat other people as you wish to be treated, be respectful and honest and understand that although money is essential, it should not be your prime objective when choosing a career. Both our daughters did voluntary work from a young age - helping out at a club for both disabled and abled bodied youngsters, local community events, environmental work (path building in Sydenham Woods).

The quiet way consultation originally took place in early 2018 - I recall it as there was concerns raised by Christ Church that church goers, groups and those attending the Bread of Life caf? would be affected. It also covered Friern, Etherow, Barry and Landells Road as well as Crystal Palace Road.

The next Dulwich Hill SNT meeting will be held on 25th March 6 - 7 pm at Christ Church, 263 Barry Road. Entrance is through gate leading down side of church - ring bell for entrance. The meeting is open to all Dulwich Hill Ward residents and will be attended by our local neighbourhood police. Years ago we lost our rescued Greyhound to poisoning. It was thought that someone had put down rat poison by the rubbish bins of a local caf? to stop foxes getting into the bin.

It has always been a busy road and depends which end you are thinking of. I do not live in the road but use it regularly to get to East Dulwich Road. Difficult to park a car in road especially on a Saturday when the North Cross Road market is on. However a CPZ is proposed for this road which may make a difference.

Hubby had a meal in a caf? recently and before he left home, he remembered that they did not take cards. I use cash and cards. Cash to get newspapers and magazines, cards in supermarkets and petrol stations. Cash in Fair Trade Centre. I went to my ex works Christmas meal and the bill was between 10 of us with differing dishes, I was the only one paying cash for meal and tip. The poor guy serving us had to take 9 different cards and costs and add up if all monies totalled up. I take out cash usually monthly and never go out without a minimum of ?10 for emergencies. I would hate to go to a cashless society. I have several elderly friends who like to pay by cash for their daily expenses as they are afraid of getting into debt.

I tried to get some parking 'scratch cards' a couple of years ago - although I am disabled I do not qualify for a blue badge. Since at times I have to drive around the borough I tried to get some scratch cards (these were easy to purchase some years ago and could be used in any part of Southwark)as some places I needed to visit were in CPZs/Resident permit parking etc. I was advised by Southwark, that the scratch card scheme was no longer available and to get visitor permits, these were only available for your own street/road. It would be handy if the borough wide scratch cards were still available. In some areas, even if you have a Blue Badge you do not get free parking - I cannot remember if it is Westminster or Camden you have to pay for parking. When my mother was alive, she had a blue badge as was a wheelchair user, but we came across several car parks where blue badge holders still had to pay charges.

I was also at the Borough wide meeting with Southwark Police and they had speakers relating to this project. Several police forces across the country are already using this with good results.

Even when based at Camberwell, police were frequently seen walking around various areas of East Dulwich and Dulwich. With the changes in the ward boundaries i.e. from being East Dulwich Ward and now split into Goose Green and Dulwich Hill, there were changes in the police personnel covering the area. Dulwich Hill police now cover Dawson Heights and Forest Hill Road, so appear to be less visible in the Lordship Lane area - the main shopping area from Whately Road down to Goose Green now being covered by Goose Green SNT.
