  1. The floor stopping to the riser floor is not load bearing.
  2. Can BB possibly mean Jeffrey Bernard (as in 'unwell')? I suppose not, no-one ever described him as suave. Perhaps 'High Life''s Taki Theodoracupulos - a name that makes our own Michael P sound like, well, John Smith. No offence to any John Smiths that may post on the forum.

(repressively) No, Michael, that's spelt "oo", or for those who care about grammar "'oo". Honestly, some people.

How do you feel about 'ooh'?
  5. I'm hoping to be there, subject to Mr. Moos' schedule as usual.
  6. So... are you saying Australians are ugly or Italians are sloppy?
  7. Sadly I'm all alone, and the cat is no help. The other cat is probably with That Woman.
  8. Shosh thinks I'm a boy. Astounding, said the Gruffalo.
  9. I feel sure there's a point somewhere, but by golly I just can't see it.
  10. david_carnell Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > 7 Terrible Early Versions of Great Movies Parp, there went an hour or so. Thanks for the link, doppelg.
  11. Should I pick the red one or the yellow one? Either way, a bit chilly.
  12. ~Darling, these days, even a pop star's dog needs a publicist. Or in this case, just a good friend to say - Ringo, please don't make that video, or at least take more care over Take Two. It makes you look like a silly old duffer.
  13. Kincaidds2000, there are various contact details throughout this thread - eg Councillor Gordon Nardell on p.3
  14. Or someone's teeth, anyway. What's that smell? Why have I turned this into the Curmudgeons' thread?
  15. Poor old fella, that was a really pitiful video. Can't he afford a publicist any more?
  16. Still, as long as you've got your health.

Yes, I know what you mean.
  18. HB is teasing you. Sorry, I don't have any information however!
  19. Who is this 'we' to whom you refer, Michael Pontypridd?
  20. She's hot stuff, Hona.
  21. Steve, as an old Forum buddy I feel I have to point out that the last bit comes across as rather creepy. Sorry.
  22. Jeez Louise, I mean TLS. Jokes aren't like Oyster cards - they don't run down each time someone uses one. Chill. Breathe. Apparently it's useful.
  23. I don't think I want my knife to be see-through.
  24. What charity would you suggest as a better recipient of your poppy money, Brendan? I see your pacifist point, but the Legion doesn't advocate war, it just supports its casualties. I'm not sure that I can think of a more appropriate recipient.
  25. Oh drat, is it really? And there I was thinking it was irony.
