  1. Yep, we have a combination of this and the little wardrobes, and they're good.
  2. Innocent veg Thai curry, but only when Sainsbo's has it on offer 'cos they're stupidly expensive otherwise. Giggled at your last line, Otta, as I was considering asking whether this was a special thread for Strafer and Carnelli...
  3. Sb, poor you. Ow, ow, ow - it's just so demoralising to be that tired. I was in a similar position when 2 was the same age, and I did sleep training with the help of Millpond, as I decided the baby's rights and needs didn't include a miserable, exhausted mother and neglected brother. Whatever course you decide on, best of luck. x
  4. Think there's a thread on this already?
  5. I agree with Pickle. Am bracing myself for the battle to drop the middle-of-the-night breastfeed in a week or so, with Twosling 10 months by then.
  6. Have a look at Sun Togs. No, I haven't gone loopy, they do great wet-weather gear as well as sun protection clothing!
  7. Susy, you're a brave and smart woman - well done you. You've posted here and found a network of support - you're not alone. A few contacts below which I hope will be useful to help you continue to build your network by talking to other women who've been in your situation and found happiness and stability, as well as getting practical advice on finances. Best of luck. Hope to keep hearing from you. Refuge (national organisation) Southwark Women's Aid Women's Aid
  8. Is it to do with the fact that it's a free place that would not be available to another child?
  9. Ian! No-one likes a sneak. Maxxi, *Be-Bob* better be careful. One slip and he could turn into *BeBobALooLaaShe'sMyBaby*, and that's a whole other jive.
  10. I like the analogy. What would be the filmic equivalent of a Slanket? Ghost, perhaps
  11. Recording it, so if can work out how to get from hard drive to disk, you're welcome to nab it. I can't compare them, but I'd say it stands up as a good drama series on its own merits - interesting characters well-played, well filmed and fantastic plot-twists already. A lot of which may be lifted from the original, of course.
  12. Is this a jazz fusion thread now? Mockers appears to be stirring in the Mosquitos thread, and possibly a crime drama thread.
  13. I know, mea maxima culpa. The only drama I'm watching at the moment is the American remake of The Killing. Which is good, but now I'm kicking myself for not having watched the original.
  14. Was it organic lager?
  15. I'd say the fella's a shah, en esslute shah.
  16. No hats, coats, jumpers, scarves, gloves, socks, big boots.... life is so much lighter and easier.
  17. Enjoy your relatively calm & ordered life. Try to live in the moment. And don't forget to book that last free dentist checkup!
  18. Afraid I gave up trying and just watched Virilius Maximus until just after the first fight in Africa when he, Djimon Hounsou and the big German guy are standing in the ring wrist-deep in blood & listening to the crowd's roar, which is when the baby woke up.
  19. Think you could get away with dropping that second 'tat', Bob. Just trying to help. *blows airy kiss to Honaloochie*
  20. Why is everyone Sorry Moosing me these days? Is it cos I admitted to not reading the Guardian? I'll get that Strafer.
  21. Hi sleepy bunny, have you seen the existing thread on this? Existing thread
  22. My tolerance for this joke these days > my tolerance for it a few weeks ago. Katienumbers = :)-D
  23. Simply Childcare suggests ?9-10 / hour net of tax for a London nanny not shared. Why nannies can't be employed on a salary quoted gross of tax is beyond me. It makes everything incredibly complicated.
  24. Try the button with the little square* on it. *not in the jazz sense
