  1. Who's Lors and is he missing his hip?
  2. Too chichi, too Claarm, too West-Endy
  3. I find they fit me, but not my wallet. I'll be in there come sale time!
  4. 'Too much, and the ladies will reel!'
  5. To the stocks with you too, Michael Parlyvousfrancais, and I shall personally hunt out a particularly rotten grapefruit to bring about your demise. [Edited for rogue comma. I tend to over-comma but don't seem to be able to help it.]
  6. No, nor I.. :-( I think DM carried out her threat and wore him to Cheltenham.
  7. BN5, I am outraged at your comment. A baby-holly-cactus hybrid is the responsibility of both of its parents, not just its holly-mother. Next you'll be saying that the holly is a tart, while the cactus is a stud. Your double standards are a disgrace to liberal caring-sharing fluffy woolly East Dulwich. I propose an hour in the Goose Green stocks, and will be bringing a very ripe melon myself.
  8. I didn't say the holly was a boy.
  9. Frank Spencer? Not sure you've got the hang of this at all, PGC. We need to ask Jumpingjackflash for one of her poverty-struck male-model mates.
  10. LOL at Lozzyloz' post
  11. Michael, I am very sorry, but I have to tell you I did see a rather dear little cactus on my street being chatted up by a rather oafishly charming Peckham holly bush. You may have a happy cactus event soon.
  12. Miquel Frothalotforus, take the beam out of your own eye.
  13. Oh, HB, but surely your love is pure? I believe I would make a particularly attractive gay man, although I appreciate that the standards tend to be higher in that, er, camp*. I think we're about to get lounged, too... how flirtatious that sounds. *Yes, I know. Sorry.
  14. HonaloochieB, I may have to remove your winged sandals - endroolable? And imagine the confusion were someone to find his lunch insufficiently lunchy. God's bodkin, have you thought this through? Were it not for your long and credible history of gravely informed statesmanlike pronouncements on this Forum I'd suspect you were jesting, and at our expense too.
  15. Hmm. Merriam-Webster has 'crumby' as a variant on the usual spelling, and also gives the etymology as ME 'crumme' so think I will stick with crummy. As for the now-deleted scrummy and yummy I fear their absence may have an injurious effect on the many amateur restaurant reviewers of ED. But thus it is written, and so shall it be. Thank you, HonaloochieB, Deus Ex Machina.
  16. A Day In The Life, due to a certain thread always being on page 1! (6)
  17. I like the idea of bus eggs. Baby buses would be sweet, and if you were really cruel, you could strap 2 to your feet and vroom to work.
  18. I really like the way the signs start with 'Cemetary open day - all the usual attractions'. Makes me smile every time I walk past.
  19. HB, could you please advise whether we are still allowed to use the words 'dummy', 'scummy', 'slummy', 'scrummy' and 'yummy'? Many thanks Moos P.S. Also please confirm status of 'crummy'
  20. Bootiful plumage, and there are indeed buckets of them in Peckham Rye park, where we have only the finest wildlife. And my family from time to time.
  21. Had a great time, although as always had to slink off very early... boo. Fab to see Steve, Georgia, Annaj, BN5, Brendan, Bagpuss, Allycat, BB, David, Hannah6_6, Nyge and Sue, and to meet some people new to me - Mogs and Mr. Mogs, Floating Onion (now I get the name!), Keef - our paths finally crosssed, hurrah - and the lovely Strawbs & Jaws, ED's newest residents-to-be. See you in June!
  22. Funny, you could say the same of 'Sydenham Keef, Sydenham Keef oh Sydenham...' :) But to return to the topic of this thread, BB is shrewd, funny, observant, witty, kind and has great hair. Truly a paragon of Peckham.
  23. Sean, if you thought that was balance and diplomacy, I'd hate to see you really riled... oh bollocks; that was irony, wasn't it? *slinks off with tail between legs*
