Shame she is going.

Sadly, she left quite a few months ago.
  3. Maxxi, I know what you mean about continuity of care. There isn't any there and hasn't been for ages. I tried to get an appt. with Dr. Arif but was told he was on holiday and even when there is only around one day a week. He is quite a good GP from what I have heard. One of the new female doctors is part time. I heard the nicest nurse practioner is leaving - the one from North America.

  5. I fail to see why someone breaking into your house is a source of amusement to some.

  7. Yes, the person serving at Emily's was extremely helpful and pleasant. Will make sure to get some fish next time. I usually go to Sema's. It always seems busy.
  8. Quite like the chips at Emily's in Northcross Road. Never tried the fish though.

  10. I started a thread earlier about phone consultations at Melbourne Grove but it was moved to ED businesses. Not sure why as all other doctor threads are in this section. Anyway, I said that I had a phone consultation with a Nurse Practitioner I hadn't met before. She told me I was only 'allowed' 5 minutes for this service. I found her statement rather peculiar and wondered if anyone else had experienced this. I had a number of things to discuss with her and was nonplussed by her attitude.

I realise you are jesting, but was this Parkside? They are owned by Concordia, who also own Melbourne Grove.
  12. Yes. I go out of my way to avoid. Never turn right there anymore. It is heart in the mouth time and I found it unbearable. So glad it is being looked at.
  13. I didn't think pet insurance companies pay out for feline tooth problems.
  14. Kalyn's Kitchen. She knows a lot about the South Beach Diet and has lots and lots of low GI recipes on her site.
  15. Fish tacos. Use grilled, baked or fried fish. Can use frozen fillets. Add to preferably heated corn tortilla (can use wheat) and squeeze lime over. Add guacamole, salsa, chopped white cabbage (pretend it is lettuce) and chopped coriander if liked. Also a dressing made of yogurt, mayo, like a ranch dressing can be made and added. Or use tartare sauce. Can let kids assemble their own. There are a lot of fish taco recipes online. Some use battered fish.
  16. You can also email with your problems by going to the Consumer Direct website but then you have to wait for someone to get back to you. Best to just call Consumer Direct and they will put everything in motion.

What is the name of this poison please?
  18. You go to Consumer Focus, which is the utilities complaint section of Consumer Direct. Call Consumer Direct in the first instance.

If you have a substantial deposit to put down on a property then it won't necessarily be knocked down after a survey.

Hi Gary, I have PM'd you but can you remember the name of the nurse or doctor? 2 new doctors started recently at Melbourne Grove, one male and one female. When did you leave?

  23. If you have a slow cooker then do a stew? Prep everything the night before and then put in cooker. Or if you don't have one then cook normally beforehand and then freeze. Serve with roasted brussels sprouts, baked potatoes, roasted cauliflower.
  24. Door locks at 8 pm so that you can go out but not come in. Drying is ?1 for 15 minutes. There are about 5 different sized machines from about ?3.20 upwards. Spin dryer is 40 pence. The place is staffed most days.
