  1. that rings a bell, who was that? And yep, Dave can barely string a sentence together!!!
  2. "Why were you not supporting a fellow English team in Europe?" That's really my problem, they're not really English teams in the true sense anymore, just English brands. Likewise Real *spits*, and I'm a bloody Madrile?o!!! Last night was just watching a couple of All-Stars accrued by rich organisations, it leaves me utterly cold. I can't get excited about them unless it's some sort of underdog like when O'Neill's Leicester City had a good run in the cup winners a few years back.
  3. sorry otta, almost let your clark kent secret identity slip there.
  4. Google Play, it's free. Storage is cheap these days, backing up to cloud is well and good, but make sure you get yourself a terabyte external drive, internet can go down as well as up!
  5. Ooh, did lambs hearts last night, my first time. Really good, the gravy you get off braising them is a thing to behold!!
  6. Lessons learnt 1st time, don't rehearse and memorise, have a bit of paper in front of you 2nd time, take the piss out of them but be nice, getting pissed helps (but don't overdo it) 3rd time, don't ever ever ever wing it 4th time, don't follow otta and his last supper/mary magdalene speech, but if you do, just be soppy 5th time, relax and enjoy. and above all, keep it short, people love to laugh at a piss take and go awww at a soppy bit, but most of all they want to go to the toilet and quaff another pint/glass of wine. I've the first draft text of my last one around if you want it. And don't worry my last two I wrote on the morning of the wedding, nothing like pressure to get the juices flowing.

  8. I think the world can happily accommodate 100 billion people, especially if mana rains from the heavens or whatever would happen. Of course if the world is only 5,000 years old, then there have probably only been about 10 million people in existence so should ahppily fit them all. Waiiiit a minute, something's wrong here......
  9. I'd cite those grapes again MM if there wasn't a kernel of truth in that, you know, one of those kernels that reach the peel. I'll tell you a deep dark guilty secret, over the years my favourite team to watch has been France more often than not, though they're a bit shit at the moment.
  10. In fairness those injuries have told. I couldn't help thinking in tHe first half that o'driscoll used to convert those situations to tries for fun.
  11. They're getting good at winning the stats though, only one that counts though. Lots of sour grapes on here.

    Marmite

It is basically salt and mould byproduct, and it tasted fine. If I suddenly stop posting, call the coastguard!!!!

    Marmite

Can marmite go off? My jar suggest best before '09, but no sign of mould, it smells the same, surely it's fine......non?
  14. Bloody A.B.E.ers. Read 'em and weep b[h]oy[o]s.
  15. Two minutes is de rigueur these days, inflation innit.
  16. Huguenot Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I must have missed something? I can't identify the > quote or the book? Erm, it's a blog that pastiches national information campaigns, it's pure genius throughout. Follow linky and enjoy.
  17. I SOO want a copy of "No Book For Fools" http://nationalofficeofimportance.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/sit-up-straight-1946.html

  19. Ha, I found it full of dance music anorak bores that has made me slightly antagonistic towards that genre, I don't recall the ones you mention but then I had to spend a lot of time there (wherever that was) developing some pretty robust wazzock filters that may have served me well. tbh the musical influences on me from that era are slight, my flat mate was obsessed with american indie and that has pretty much stuck.
  20. Ghost Town acceptable, ticks lots of maggie hating boxes for you shurely?
  21. Is it sacrilege to say The Clash don't really do it for me either, though London Calling is a good song?
  22. Having endured (goodness only knows why) the 'musical' offerings of Taylor Swift, Robbie Williams and One Direction the other night, there are far more deserving targets of your invective than that lot woody!! And come on I challenge you not to waggle a hip eeeevvvver so slightly to Love Cats....
  23. There's really only the one candidate... https://maps.google.co.uk/?ll=51.459972,-0.084341&spn=0.006899,0.0159&t=h&z=16&layer=c&cbll=51.459972,-0.084341&panoid=J2nI3ysJC476SAHoKxRyrQ&cbp=12,181.09,,0,-11.42 (Doubtless this is where ED History tells me that SE22 != East Dulwich or something. That piece of unloved real estate is actually an enclave of Wandsworth after the War of Lambethine succession of 1765)
