  1. I'm sorry to say this but I think he's a crock. I genuinely think he would have struggled to get another club with his record of injuries. I know I'll get shot down for these comments and I hope that he has a full season (as long as he doesn't turn our defence inside out again) but I can't see it.
  2. It's tantamount to slavery isn't it? Torres will stay at Liverpool until he's won a title....surely they'll let him retire at 65 like the rest of us won't they? ;)
  3. To be fair it's been so long in the refurbishment my memory of it even being open has faded. ;-)
  4. The first thing an addict has to do is admit their addiction! I'm Sandperson and I'm a cyclist. :))
  5. I wear one. It's comfortable, takes seconds to put on and I'd rather have it than not. I've not heard of anyone, and I cycle a lot and know a lot of cyclists, who has been injured BECAUSE they were wearing one.
  6. Anderson pulled unconscious from a burning car!?
  7. The cost of maintaing a bike like that for a year would be next to nothing. Keep it clean and check you tyres regulalry and you'd be looking at no more than the price of a few innertubes (if you are unlucky with punctures), probably new tyres at the end of the year and some sort of lubrication to put on the chain and moving parts. Play your cards right and it'll be easily less than ?50. My advice would be to invest in a bike maintainence book or even a course, which isn't very expensive, and keep your bike cleanish and you'll never look back. I wince everytime I go into a bike shop and hear people being charged ?20+ for a change of innertube, it's the easiest job in the world!

AP you can sign up for any of the access periods and up or down grade online or over the phone. I went for the 24 hours and added 'auto renew' so as I use the 24 hour period it gives me another one straight away on the key. I ride on my own bike most days but as you say it's nice to have the option if I'm in town with out it. Northlondoner. I look forward to seeing you sued. Why do you come on these threads if you hate cyclists so much?
  9. I think it's a magical time to be a cyclist and I love the scheme. I hope there's several people wobbling randomly over Northlondoner.
  10. We're going to be lucky if there's any pool at this rate.
  11. I really like folk, bluegrass, sea shanties and traditional singing and songs so I'm going to be having a look at this fellow when I get five minutes.
  12. I believe KK is Doc Watson and this is a cynical attempt to get ANOTHER grammy. ;-)
  13. Beckenham Palace was always ok. Don't expect Augusta but it' an interesting enough round.
  14. I expect many of the cars don't get driven out of the garage much.

  16. I was badly let down by Cliff recently. Call Alex instead: 020 8692 7959. He made good on the foul up by Cliff and didn't charge me until I had fully tested the repair. He worked hard and for a long period of time and came out twice. Very, very helpful.

  18. idm, I'm glad your father is ok. I would disagree with you on the red light camera being a revenue earner though. I think in the case of red light jumping the camera is justified and it is also a good way to catch people who are driving in an exceptionally dangerous manner.
  19. I'm about to be a dad for the second time, you wouldn't believe how decreased my empathy is towards you....
  20. It was still blocked when I passed and the air ambulance was on the Rye.
  21. That's one of my dream cars. Really sorry you've had it nicked. I'll keep 'em peeled!
  22. Or you could just go along on a saturday morning with the Paragon. Myself and my club mates (all lycra wearing) are VERY friendly and you won't get left behind no matter what your standard. Come and have a ride with us and if you like it you can join as well! We have training rides, time trials, track riding, sportive riding and social events.
  23. I am the only person in the world who thinks Second Coming is a great album....
