  3. There were even more St Christopher?s was blockbusters I think but down near was Geoff?s it was either where Just Williams is or where the smile clinic is, he was an interesting character , different times, though not long ago
  4. There was an excellent drama documentary back in the late 90s or early 2000?s set up North can? remember the name but was set on an estate up North where people were living in what could be described as abject poverty and was called something like Sharon goes shopping, think it was on Channel 4 at a time when they were a little less mainstream. Can anyone remember it? it was not unlike a Ken Loach film

  8. Hi all, have had great advice from here before, got 15 year old hormonal grunting nephew and his dad visiting for 3 days, actually a very sweet boy, very into footballer, rugby and history. Anyone got any bright ideas, so far thinking of IMAX, Trocadero, Camden market! Are there any football games on I have no idea! Any pointers appreciated as to what an almost non verbal (previously very chatty) teenage Irish boy would like in London. Last time over he was about 8 loved Oliver and the imperial war Museum. Thanks in advance for some suggestions

  22. Thanks, the actual charge just to request permission is ?259, they're a shower of money grabbing whatever's. they'll probably insist on a survey but think I'll go about it properly!
  23. I live in an ex council flat, I am the leaseholder. I want to knock wall between toilet & bathroom in order to give a decent sized bathroom. Has anyone done this and did you seek permission from council? Many of my neighbours have done it some with permission and some without. Don't think the wall is loadbearing, brick construction but I'm sure builder will be able to tell me. I'm not that bothered about the ?259 the council are asking for to grant permission although not sure what the money is for as a survey on top would be extra, it is more the fact they can take months to process. Any thoughts Thanks
  24. The Rose in New Cross do a pretty decent roast and serve til late with no booking
  25. Had a lovely smorgasbord at the moderna museet ( think that's what it's called) museum of modern art, in a lovely area with great views. A little boat trip to one of the islands also nice. Wine in the supermarkets not much more expensive than here
