  7. Planning to do part of the Camino in June hopefully 250k was wondering if anyone has done any or all of it and any tips. Know there are lots of books out there but thought would ask here. Don't want to do an organised walk as think the route is fairly well marked out.
  8. If I invite people round to my home to eat I normally know them well enough to know their food preferences unless it's the new partner of a friend and then I will ask the friend. I believe the idea of asking someone to share food with you should be an enjoyable and relaxed occassion and would hope people to enjoy the food I spent time making so knowing preferences would be helpful. I'm not a particularily fussy eater but can not eat something I don't like, the few things I can't eat are mint and pulses so would prefer to tell someone I don't eat them rather than leave a full plate of food and would like the same to be reciprocated. As for expecting formal thank you letters get real this is 2012

May I ask what extra long hours ambulance crews work, as for nurses the days of overtime went out the window at least 6 years ago, now you work bank at 40% tax which I'm not moaning about but means you actually get paid less for any hours you work outside your contracted hours!

Eh hello I've paid into my pension consistently for the last 27 years, in the early ninties we were offered to come out of superannuation and invest in private pension funds, which for a period did out preform my current scheme, I shall continue to pay in until I retire & most definetly don't expect to live longer than the years I have paid into my pension! Working shifts for many years will take care of that as it cuts your life expectancy by I think 10% and also believe it or not public sector workers also pay tax.
