  6. Planning to go to Sicily for a week early June. Nothing booked yet only flights to Palermo, staying 8 nights and want to see as much as possible on a budget. Anyone got any words of wisdom, places to stay etc. Appreciate any suggestions ta
  7. Would agree with Samsung recommendation friend has one, hardly any frame around it just a rim really, she has 3d but think at present that's a bit of a cod for the use you'd get from it and the glasses are pretty pricey.
  8. When the congestion charge was introduced it was amazing how many suddenly didn't feel the need to drive to work, as a non driver I managed to work in the community for many years. I remember attending a recruitment selection study day and was told that in London you can't discriminate against non drivers because public transport is so good. With good planning public transport works and is often quicker than looking for a parking space, however the ?5K extra of London weighting is an attractive draw to those outside inner London which includes Camberwell.
  9. but surely Goodrich School is in the singular so just has been awarded, rather just have been awarded is correct grammatically, anyway whichever well done goodrich
  10. If I were you I would go to moorfields, eyes are such a risky business and they really are the experts. Always swore I would never consider it but had a bad infection a few years ago and the idea is more appealing. At the moment have to mostly wear glasses as with lenses by long sight is terrible but with specs can just take them off and read perfectly. Friend had laser recently one eye done for short sight and one for long sight said she only notices the difference when really tired but if you wear lenses you'll know what that's like but I would still say moorfields if you value your eyes
  11. East Dulwich on now

In short absolutely not unless you can afford some type of private insurance and your circumstances do not change. The NHS is pretty amazing warts an all. Needs to sort out layers of management and my belief is train people in management rather than clinicians rising through the ranks to become managers. A good clinician does not a good manager make!
  13. Bring your own food, food there is pretty rubbish. Try buy a few waterproof capes in pound shop for water rides which are great, change of clothes for little one. Don't leave it too late to see the lego models at the end which are pretty amazing. Enjoy!
  14. gosh that is scary hope you're all ok
  15. Fantastic work you're doing,it has been sad to see some buildings go in my time in the area such as Austins &The Heaton Arms which I always thought was a beautiful building.
  16. For the people who live on the part of the route where the 63 doesn't currently go there will be greatly increased pollution noise and alo the fumes from an extra 6 buses an hour, plus it will greatly increase the use of an already overused station in rush hour. One of the stops is directly outside my front door, the small buses p4, p12 are tolerable but I'm afraid I absolutely abhor the idea of the 63 stopping outside every 10 minutes as it will mean having to have curtains permanently drawn as I live on the 1st floor. Nobody has canvessed those who live on the route itself as far as I'm aware and yes I do live in Southwark but on the very edge as my name actually suggests.
  17. Hornimans museum is great, or further afield the science museum, or if the weather continues as it is try a walk along southbank full of stimulation for kids! enjoy your day out
  18. Have a slow cooker, used it and been fine but really don't like (trust) the idea of leaving the house with something plugged in so always only did when at home so totally defeats the whole idea. Friend got a gift of one of the quick convection things which blew up (luckily while she was in) so my advice would be put your stew/casserole in the oven in the oven in the evening when you get home and reheat the following day will taste better anyway as food always does the next day
  19. Nothing but we're getting an extra bank holiday which suits me fine
  20. To reach grade 8 standard in just over 2 years is quite a feat, but honestly 2-3 hours practice at that age does seem a little excessive, I would say 15 minutes for the younger child & 30-45 minutes once they start grades that is if you want them to do exams rather than just play for enjoyment.
