We saw the actress Kate Ford in the Thai Corner Cafe last night!

It has the world's most useless speed bumps. Anyone have any idea why they're so flat?

Of course, events like this can be predicted very accurately by astronomers etc. What is quite clearly bulls--- is that it will somehow cause the end of civilization as we know it on that day.

Well, seeing as we all seem to be being told not to vote anymore (because ALL politicians are corrupt) we'll probably end up with someone like Jeremy Kyle. Or Nick Griffin. Or if we're lucky, Vanessa Feltz.

You don't seem to understand that if the license fee was abolished the BBC would turn into all those other rubbish channels.

Morag Wrote: I just wish they would abolish the licence And then just watch the BBC turn into the equivalent of whatever the main television station in Colombia is called.

Believe me, if the BBC disappeared tomorrow you wouldn't half miss it.

I was making no assumption about the cause of this accident. My post was an emotional reaction to reading this thread. This is the wrong thread to discuss cycling do's/don'ts so maybe we should just end it here.
-
I know, I'm sorry. It's just as a commuting cyclist myself when you hear about another cyclist being involved in an accident, particularly if it happened somewhere you know well, it makes me feel a certain kinship with fellow cyclists.
-
F---ing hell, this is awful. You have to be SO aware of what is going on around you as a cyclist. Of course I make no assumptions as to whether this poor woman was wearing an iPod or not but I see so many cyclists wearing headphones. You cannot be in your own little world listening to music when you're cycling. Although maybe this is the wrong/time place for this mini rant.

False. See here http://www.snopes.com/humor/letters/spree.asp Very much 'internet-style' humour. And American in tone.

In terms of vested interests Newton's theory of gravitation isn't controversial but Darwin's theory of evolution is. I wonder why?

Anyone who says we aren't making the earth much hotter is denying the patently obvious. We are defeating the earth's systems of equilibrium. Although there are non-man-made changes in the greenhouse nature of the atmosphere we are unarguably changing the earth's atmosphere and its heat retention. This is superimposed on any naturally-occurring atmospheric change and is exacerbating it beyond anything we can see in the earth's past over a very long time scale. Also, why would all these diligent hardworking scientists want to waste their lives trying to mislead people? I choose not to believe businessmen pretending to be scientists. When an army of geniuses apply their intellects and devote their lives to research, using the resources of the entire scientific community, and after analyzing more data from more perspectives than a sceptic can enumerate, they converge at a consensus, only someone with a commitment to denial for its own sake could say they are all wrong about everything, but me in my living room, I figured it out.

See, it's not about races, just places, faces. Where your blood comes from is where your space is. I've seen the bright get duller, I'm not going to spend my life being a colour. Ya hear me?
