  1. I saw Shirley from Eastenders popping out to get some milk from the shop a couple of weeks ago in Nunhead.
  2. Will no-one think of the children????

Yes, but it's not 4 hours from one address. And it's legal to set off fireworks up to 11pm. What do you expect the council to do? And, anyway, it's not like fireworks are some 'new' thing.

rahrahrah is right. You're just going to have to do that.
  11. Thank you. That's the bugger.
  12. Or put them in your wood burner (if you have one) for an even warmer feeling.
  13. I don't think it'll be a "ripping off", more a slight disappointment. Just like a visit selling at the Music & Video Exchange.
  14. Half of the people reading this thread will be dead by Christmas, that's for definite.
  15. Does anyone know what the tall green lamp post thing on Linden Grove in Nunhead is/was for? It's very tall, faded mint green in colour and is on the same side of the road as the cemetery. It's thicker than a normal lamp post with and obviously doesn't have a light on top. I've seen other ones about. I forgot to take a photo of it.

I live in Nunhead and I don't think I ever hear planes that loud. That sounds like Hounslow or something.
  19. It seems you either get used to the noise of the planes and don't really notice it, or you don't.

  21. This of course should be reported to the police.
  22. I found it staggering and depressing that so many people have fallen for the Yes campaign's nationalism and its divisive politics of identity and grievance.
  23. Nationalism in all its guises. Especially when it masks itself as something else.
