I'm not sorry I voted out- I loathe politicians and 750 more of them, who don't seem to know what they're doing for the EU public good on many levels, is a very expensive joke. The outies already had 3.9 million UKIP voters in the bag (who only gained 1 seat in the UK... whereas in Scotland an about 1.5 million won the SNP 59 seats)- we are leaving... that's democracy for you...

People will not engage or get involved in politics for long because if you have any kind of real, humane, social conscience you will realise that most politicians, at any level, are egotistical power hungry, megalo-maniacal control freaks....and it will make you sick to your stomach to get involved if you embark on a political path for altruistic reasons- I have been there My reasons for voting OUT were- we do not need another 750 politicians controlling our lives and all the bureaucracy it drags along with it (the cost of that alone is the same as the amount of money we get back from the EU for Agriculture and Fisheries)- it is an insult to our intelligence- and given the comments by Junckers and the German who warns us to beware the EU 'revenge' I think I am right on that; and the fact that people convicted of heinous crimes have been allowed to stay here by the EU court over-ruling our own legislature.

It looks like there is a bombed out site to the left of the shops. There are still a couple of shops there, the newsagent, the chiropracter, but the rest have been turned back into houses (although there was a cafe in the row not too long ago), and they are still recognisable as former shop fronts. -
My daughter asked her office pals which they were voting. One of them, nearing retirement said IN because he wanted to preserve the value of his house. The other a young chap, also IN, because he is going abroad next week and wants to get more Euros....so all you people who are trying to paint the OUTies as morons and the like, had better look at yourselves. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-36561084 Interestingly, the amount we get back for Agriculture and Fisheries is almost the same as the amount (around ?3100m p.a.) that we give them to maintain the whole EU machine p.a.

Yes- De Gaulle vetoed our entry more than once before 1973, because he thought our farming , economy etc had things that were not compatible with the EEC. I don't know the specifics but I do know there are a quarter of a million French in the capital at the moment- probably because they want to work more than a 35 hour week,or whatever hours the French implemented from the Working Time Directive...although I suppose imposing a restriction on hours would create more jobs...

In the words of Claud Juncker (who?) ..Out is Out and Make it Quick.....

The people in the North would have seen the south of England and London as somewhere to aspire to go and live and work, but not after it was flooded with migrants . For example, about 16% of Scots are living in GB but outside of Scotland. Interestingly, that fewer Scots are going to uni because the places are taken up by Europeans attracted by the free fees http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/universityeducation/11428014/Scots-losing-out-on-university-places-to-EU-students.html this is the direct effect of the EU law on young people.... Goodbye and good riddance to the bloody interference, and if Sturgeon wants to stay with it, well...

You are having a laugh, you bunch of middle class no-nothings

His own party have had a vote of no Confidence in Corbyn so.... Theresa May has been totally 'castrated' by the EU to date, so you never know- she is tenacious though.

Well, Frankfurt have been trying to take over for years now- I hope when you say 'banker' your index fingers are pulling you mouth sideways

I heard there are rumours of a Netherexit....and the Gibralterians voted 96% for 'In' out of fear I should think since they are harassed by Spain now. Anyway, I would like to see that 41 year old Romanian who was arrested for drink driving and then it was found out he had been imprisoned in Romania for rape, kicked out asap. Moves to deport him were overruled by the EU 'Supreme' Court on the grounds that the crimes were not serious enough.....how many more of his ilk are there?

Yes, some was from memory but I checked it ; when I was young, I used to waste a lot of time learning lyrics by heart...and wrecked a few LPs by putting the needle back and forth when I missed a bit! There were some songs that were played on air so much that you learned them by osmosis-like Bohemian Rhapsody

I think that if Michael Gove became PM, there would be endless teachers' strikes....or they would start acting up like southern Rail staff, just to get back at him.....(I don't know what for because in my establishment all the real bs is generated by senior management....) Boris is lovely, but he hasn't really been in a position to wreak proper havoc imvho

In my youth I belonged to an extreme left wing group in a very working class area and there were teachers in the group that used to allow certain pupils to skip their lessons to go and leaflet other local schools for recruitment....as far as I was concerned these teachers were undermining the education of these pupils who had few prospects under the comprehensive system in London anyway..i.e. the left wing were actively preventing the working class from improving themselves (after all it was a lefty public school Labour politician Tony Crosland who did for them in the first place) I promptly left this ridiculous organisation as it was obvious that the absolute aim of the left was to keep the working classes in their place and uneducated so that they can be manipulated...and that is what has happened. My mother was a staunch Labour supporter from West Ham territory- but when Enoch Powell made his rivers of blood speech she agreed with him , and became a Tory overnight, because, living in the thick of 2 parallel cultures...yes they were and still are parallel, she could see where things were headed. I think Enoch was proved right, and the EU made the UK powerless to prevent it

I remember during a general election quite a few people turned up to vote only to find their name had been used earlier. There is extra security in some areas where vote rigging has happened before http://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/667147/Brexit-EU-referendum-vote-rigging-electoral-fraud-local-elections-UKIP-London-Mayor

'And I went down to the demonstration To get my fair share of abuse Singing, "We're gonna vent our frustration If we don't we're gonna blow a 50-amp fuse"' and 'I saw (her) today at the reception In (her) glass was a bleeding man (She) was practiced at the art of deception Well I could tell by (her) blood-stained hands'

And how long before that is reversed? As DF says we have no powers of self determination on almost everything...and what is left will be gone soon...The EU set up reminds me of the old soviet Russia where only the party faithful had any kind of normal life....I wish I had never read Franz Kafka.....then I might have voted remain!

Yes- go and ask at the delivery office because a couple of months ago some people had no post because a postie was assaulted by a low-life scumbag in this area- also if your post is there you can collect it-

Very strange- we were always warned of the poisonous nature of mercury by our physics teacher screaming 'don't touch it'- reminds me of a story about the Cavendish laboratory. In the '70s it was used by social scientists and the staff got ill due to the mercury under the floorboards poisoning the air with it's vapour- I found this https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=xXVEKN79diAC&pg=PA37&lpg=PA37&dq=cavendish+laboratory+cambridge+mercury+poisoning&source=bl&ots=IRX1jr4rn7&sig=LzoO5-9lm-ic9lZKbNJi5j67h2A&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjzs6ycv7vNAhWMKMAKHZJlA0kQ6AEINTAE#v=onepage&q=cavendish%20laboratory%20cambridge%20mercury%20poisoning&f=false
