  1. The puzzle always has been: Why was the centre of South Southwark deemed to be Calton/village/junction? I asked this at one of the zoom meetings and was asked whether i wanted the same measures on my road. Not an answer to the question.
  2. I suppose the question would be: has anyone changed their minds about any aspect of Dulwich LTNs?
  3. Mr chicken should be ignored. His poor humour serves the weakness of his argument. I shall rename myself 3gearalice.
  4. James don?t take my labour vote as a sign you are on the right track. The current LTNs reward privilege - the wealthy get healthier. The result of this consultation will determine whether a lifetime of labour voting will change. I cannot be alone.
  5. Well you are wrong. Change is what is needed. The status quo gives healthier streets to the wealthier. Change that.
  6. For some. It was never about bikes.
  7. answering your options: - they have asked - 2.5million available from penalty fines - as they were installed during covid emergency wihout consultation they can be now removed without consulation. - hard to believe - its a couple of hours work. - depends who you mean by 'they'
  8. The best way to make a barrier permeable is to remove it. Anything else wastes time.
  9. Bring back buses, for businesses, for connections, for shoppers.
  10. One way Melbourne towards Kings would allow ambulances to avoid Lordship Lane. Excellent idea.
  11. Why speak for the traders when you can speak to them? [perhaps because you know you'd get a different answer] redpost Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Lynne Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Completely agree. 12. School streets with collapsible metal barriers are a simple low cost flexible idea. Why not more of them?
  13. and all their friends are exempt too.
  14. Those pro-LTN are now resorting to poor efforts at humour. Weak.
  15. Iceland + Franklin?s combo served us well.
  16. So who?s getting these? All those who registered? All those in the enhanced area? Both? Or something else?
  17. Its a sad day when a great shop like Franklins has to close.
  18. Heartblock such an excellent post. I think you?ve covered it. Thankyou.
  19. Dulwich C. I should have said principles and logic. Your response has neither.
  20. Sometimes we want to dig down to details to prove a fact. That?s fine but there are principles that underpin decisions about action. That the Dulwich LTNs benefit those already wealthy at the expense of those less privileged is undisputed. How does that fit with Southwark?s Fairer Futures Initiative? (Ps it doesn?t)
  21. does that mean I don't need permission for a balcony at the back of my house.
  22. Very interesting intexas.. Do you know how the 'respondents' were chosen?
  23. Time limited? That?s v clues to me never heard a thing.
  24. It?s not time limited and confusing as seems to be saying 2 contradictory things.
  25. Strange. I shall examine the status of my pro bus comments.
