  1. So Cleverley got KO'd in R4 ! Haven't seen it yet, just read about it. Hopefully Darren Barker can do a number on Daniel Geale tonight at MW.
  2. Dive Bar on Gerard St was a classic, the guy who DJ'd there for years at weekends was ace.
  3. I think that lad lives in that property, it was hot days he was outside I believe. Possibly the flat doesn't have through-air so gets a bit stuffy.
  4. Oh yeah I vaguely heard about Guillermo but had forgotten. I wonder if that impacted how he walked through Lebedev's punches - in that contest there was no doubting Jones's skill and balance, but the way he took punches was very strange.
  5. Povetkin v Vlad may be a stinker I'm sad to say. Huck gave Povetkin a serious problem and he's a cruiser weight ! So Vlad (who's had twice as many fights as Pov, against consistently more experienced opposition) should wear Pov down and KO him in 2nd half of fight. The Fighter is a tough watch, heaven knows how they guy won titles with distractions like that !! Speaking of Huck, huge respect to him for lining up a re-match with Arslan because many including me thought Arslsn beat Huck last time. I'd like Guillermo Jones to fight Huck - that'd be a FoY candidate surely.
  6. It would be worth it if the agent is not working off their own agenda, for me it'd be like inviting someone you know who's a disingenuous liar for their advice.
  7. Whenever you're ready AM, possibly it'll have legs if you've thought it through and checked out your options before telling family !
  8. Cheers Otta, just checked that link - ?15 of that per month is line rental. This is my bugbear with home broadband. I'm probably gonna stick with using neighbour's WiFi, for a contribution towards his monthly costs.
  9. I'd be interested in hearing more about these too..
  10. Alan if you want to chat on it PM me, I'm not an expert but have 2x such projects in various stages of progress so may able to help to some extent. Rule of thumb is probably based on one's own needs / what exactly you're trying to achieve and in what timeframe.
  11. Any indication of costs guys.
  12. Come on Alan, that's such an open question there's no true answer. More than obviously in some cases the costs are compensated and other cases they are not. Without specifics you can't reasonably expect a useful answer unless someone lists all possible scenarios for you. What's the property size/location/value/outstanding mortgage/general condition/freehold status/planning options/cost of works/projected sale value after works/anticipated quality of completed works/is it rented/loss of rental during works/anticipated duration of works/completion date of works/expected change in facilities or accommodation/additional borrowing you'll need to undertake the works ?
  13. Skilfully converted to a cars v cyclists thread.
  14. Actually I think Fellbrigg is top spot, Ulverscroft is for those whose can't find anywhere decent to park. Why would anyone heading to market leave there car by choice on such a rough street ?!
  15. Typical Ulverscroft, dragging down the area..
  16. Then it probably lives there in a house nearby !
  17. Computedshorty's 3rd picture, shows what the cinema looked like, albeit without the 'Odeon' down the side. It was mainly unchanged until demolition, maybe the odd paint job. I believe it was a watch factory before demolition, it was opposite the petrol station which is past the goose green roundabout. Most ED people walking to the station would have passed it on their left after the curry house by the Mind shop.
  18. dodgy street anyway.
  19. Cheers MM, Thule seems recommended by many - I'm just gutted at the prices, it's a bit of moulded plastic !!
  20. Jeez Otta what were you covereing to make you wanna do that ? Bryan Adams covers ?
  21. pickup all the hairballs and take them into the shop and say look you dropped this.
  22. Leave Rye Lane as it is FFS. Yeah OK, mess with the station entrance a bit and put a nice square there maybe, but the rest of it is poifect. Until the hair balls get big enough to knock you over, don't worry about it (they van be addressed anyway by directly approaching the businesses rather than whining on EDF about it).
  23. Thanks Clare - useful tip.
  24. Girl82: I certainly wouldn't buy my meat on Rye Lane for hygiene reasons. I get my goat on Rye Lane, for some weird reason William Rose and the butcher by the Plough don't sell it. I buck the trend mentioned earlier, live in ED but shop mostly in Rye Lane for grocery/household stuff. Better density of choice on Rye Lane.
