  1. As long as coinage is a valid payment method it should be accommodated by buses. The alternative is some admin process that doesn't necessarily always meet travellers' needs.
  2. Which is BS. Either do cash of don't do cash, nor some half-assed inbetween.
  3. Keep cash payments. And what's with some drivers' attitudes even today when you try and pay cash - and this "we don't carry change" BS ?!
  4. It's a mess when people can't practice their tunes out in public. Let the drummers do their thing FFS it's just once in a while. What is everybody so busy doing, watching shite TV ?
  5. Ok some big dude mates can work the door. Right then. We just need a date. Oh. We must invite MM too.
  6. gigirl I think we're neighbours.
  7. the post office on forest hill road in that parade of shops, did passport photos for me a few weeks ago, quick etc. maybe you need to go check te size they do fits your needs ?
  8. If the pubs' shut for a year or so, the delivery would be a moot one ! Real shame to hear of the devastation.
  9. Wow great story - best to mum n baby.
  10. Is Sheemy the person who (under another EDF username) was complaining about a handyman's skills / reliability a few weeks ago ? If so, then I may be the 'K', for pointing out (albeit bluntly) that it's not cool to slag a tradesman right off over what was more probably a communication/specification issue. If I AM the 'K' I claim my prize now please. Or Else.
  11. interesting read, I didn't know any of that stuff. Regarding the doscussion previously on Mayweather v Canelo and the lack of weight parity. Canelo is currently on track to come in to the fight around 170lbs, the catch weight is 152lbs. I'm really not OK with the idea of boxers having a disparity in weight whoch is so severe. A 170lb boxer can do a lot more damage than a 152lb fighter, all other things being even. It's obvious that Canelo won't make 152lbs for fight night and he may have to pay penalties for being overweight, perhaps into the ?100,000's or even millions. But I still think it's plain dangerous, irrespective of how good Mayweather is. A lesser-skilled boxer than Mayweather may not be able to outbox a much large man so well, so may be hurt permanently. The weight, for me, should be a fight night weight - the boxing governing bodies should enforce this vigorously before there's a tragedy. Am I alone in this thinking ?
  12. Whenever I get a new tent I'll go to a park and practice putting it up/down a couple of times to make sure that when I get to use it for real I'm not caught stupid in the rain, but I'd expect a challenge if I erected and left a gazebo up all day.
  13. I've had hassle both selling and buying, but usually it works fine - it's just people and some can stick to a deal or be courteous and some can't / don't feel obliged.
  14. You can probably get a certification from a solicitor ? There's one just past William Rose butchers on that side road, I've had stuff certified there previously.
  15. What I'm saying is if you're not in a big town there you'll have limited mobile comms especially outside the Rangoon/Mandalay/Pagan loop. In a city I'd expect he'd use a phone service ?
  16. Domestic calls on mobiles fine in cities but provincially it's limited.
  17. OK well maybe a job on the doors of a Cardiff nightclub (a fairly posh one)...
  18. Yes fair comment. Thing is, he needs better KO power I think to survive at LHW. It'll be interesting to see how this goes anyway. Bunce's boxing hour is on later, wonder what his assessment will be..
  19. Sounds rational. As he sat in his corner after the stoppage as his corner attended him, you could see him say to himself the words "f*ck it". He's got a maths degree as everyone by now knows and he could join any consultancy in a tick, he has many options which is a good place to be. He does like a tear-up so is not a pretender, I hope he makes the right decision in his mind that he's happy with.
  20. Calzaghe was ringside for the fight, I wonder how he'd have fared if it was him. My guess is a Calzaghe win on points after some hairy moments, Calzaghe's movement causing Kovalev to miss a lot - but of course we'll never really know. Looking forward to Kovalev's next contest. Enzo v Clev could be a good match-up, Enzo has power to 'do a Kovalev' and I'm not sure that Clev could hurt him in the same style that McKenzie and McPhilbin did. Fun domestic match-up.
  21. Just watched the contest on BoxNation, this Kovalev is bad news for the rest of the division. Apparently he'd had 19 KOs before this bout and 18 of those were within 3 Rds. Not sure where Shumenov has gone these days but him, Adonis Stevenson and Hopkins (and Pascal) all have their work cut out !! Kovalev may find himself avoided like Golovkin. Apparently Hopkins turned down Kovalev. Lets hope Nathan can learn from this and maybe develop his power, he needs to rely on his chin less I reckon.
  22. Barker got the win over Geale, after a mid-fight knock-down in an uncontentious SD. Good for him after all he's been through. His manager said he'll definitely avoid Golovkin (just like the rest of the MW world 'champs').
  23. I agree he'd fought extremely weak opponents (like the full-time nurse !). However I hoped he'd outbox Kov, though I admit I'd not even looked-up Kov on YouTube.
