  1. Those drugs don't work, I know. FACT !! Oops..
  2. I don't think anyone believes people cannot follow simple instructions, the problem is many people will not or do not want to. It's not about treatment, it's about attitude, of which there is plenty.
  3. Unfortunately, as usual, the few let down the majority. Leaving heat damage to park furniture, the grass/tarmac and clumsily disposing of the remnants of BBQs which burn very hot. The amount of smoke is quite profuse for such a small device, affecting many times more people than it benefits. The argument for not having a garden, therefore having the right to mess-up a park is weak. If you want to burn one in your garden, fine, go ahead. I think they should be banned in parks due to the mess and damage. They are unsafe when disposed of clumsily, I've seen people scratching their heads wondering what to do with their smouldering tray of red-hot ambers, choosing to just leave it there rather than burn themselves trying to contain/dispose of it. So it then becomes someone else's problem. Smart.
  4. spark67: owner who is from sicily Sue: appears to be the same people running it as before
  5. there's a separate thread on the ED stn event.
  6. TT - don't be a knob. It's a reasonable question.
  7. Glasgow's better.
  8. Rumours abound that Fury will find a way to back-out of this contest. Groves v Froch. I agree with Otta, I don't think Groves is quite ready. My fears for Groves are that he doesn't mind trading, he can be hit (though doesn't seem to mind), he hasn't fought top opposition yet. I'm tempted to think Groves could outbox Froch (as arguably Dirrell and Ward did), however Froch completely schooled Abraham with pure boxing, so he CAN box when he wants to. I'm not convinced Froch will face Groves this year, perhaps 2014. If they fight in next 6 months I'd have to pick Froch, based on toughness, experience, who he's already beaten. i could see it going to points or Froch getting a stoppage/TKO. TBH I'm surprised Groves has the rating he has, given the other SMWs out there, but I guess that's a feature of the multi-belt/politics. Groves is obviously gifted, beautiful to watch (in a non-gay way), but I think it's a stark jump from his last 3-4 opponents to Froch !
  9. "Always keep one bit of the key information out." no pun intended...
  10. Have to say, poor foxy's taking am unnecessary bashing for simply reporting on a shite day out on public transport, cut the fox some slack will ya. There's a plenty other shite in the Lounge to pick-on.
  11. Fury appears to have chickened out of fighting Kubrat Pulev. He'd have got less money losing to Kubrat than he would losing to Haye.
  12. I got tired of reading about the rules/regs regarding disposal, there seemed to be a lot of effort involved so I've opted for a low effort method which is completely within my control / limits of experience. Segregating compost etc. is too much hassle (or it would be, if I had a compost heap).
  13. "Pre knives and guns it used to be the case you made friends through a brief fight" ha ! yes true, one of my longest-standing friends was through a long overdue fight (2-3 years, we were from opposing schools, passing each other every morning/evening on the way to/from school, with cusses and snarls). Immediately after the fight we were best mates - top result ! Really weird how that used to work. Not sure it was 'pre-knives' though, there's always been knives.
  14. TD I have not disposed of the stalks they are laying on the concrete in my yard baking dry in the sun. then I will grind them to a fine powder, then I will mix that powder with Spirits of Salts (37% hydrochloric acid) in a jar. After a cople of days I will flush the sludge down the loo.
  15. I have a vertical line of holes drilled in my back wall where I had a damp course injected years ago into alternate brick coarses, each hole has one of these bad boys living in it. At night they sit half-out, waiting for something to grab and eat. Gulp.
  16. Kidnap is slightly different than asking for a phone.
  17. ironing shits is not recommended, you'll never get a decent crease and the vent holes in your iron will get clogged-up. best roll it in glitter and let it dry in the sun.
  18. Good point Lilly - well made, succint and pertinent. I watched the contest last night it looked like Price had it in the bag at least a couple of times, with Thompson just making a 9 count I (I was suprised the ref didn't wave it off, given the hometown thing) and being staggered at points in the fight. It was surprising to see Price spent by R3 but I think the body shots and a couple of short rights from Thompson were to blame for that ! Price's legs were completely gone, really sad to see. I think the body shots that caught Price would have hurt most HWs, same with the 15 or so headshots at the end. The ref should have stopped the contest at that point, not given Price a count FFS, that was weak ref'ing. I guess the ref was just givin Price every chance to turn it around. Frank Maloney burtsing into tears at the end was very sad to see, he's had heart problems and I think he had a heart attack last time price lost to Thompson. Maloney said if Pricey wants to call it a day now, so will he give up promoting. I don't think it's all over for Price by any means, but he's had a couple of levelling contests recently which could very well be to his advantage if he, with his team, sets-out to adjust and learn from it. He's only had a handful of fights and the HW division is wide-open (more so, once the K Bros retire).

  20. Ifti just do one. I'm sick of reading this we're better than you / you must be like us BS. Such a load of controlling patronising junk, makes me want to puke. You really think people are stupid - on behalf of humanity I'd fear the world you want to create.
  21. Pics: 3. shafting (big) stalk with a stair rod. 4. shafting the (small) stalk with a BBQ skewer. 6. pouring poison via detergent bottle.
  22. Pics: 1. rubber gloves, skewer & stair rod for shafting the stalks, funnel for pouring poison, knife/scissors for cutting-back stalks. 2. mix a sachet of the product with litre (or less, to concentrate) of water. 5. you can use an old detergent bottle to squirt the poison directly into stalk. Cut-back stalks and shaft with skewer, making a route for poison into base of plant.
  23. Just because it's written in a contract (even if it's a contract you've signed) doesn't mean a court will agree witthe content of that contract, esp. if some of the clauses seem just plain unreasonable.
