Alan Medic Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Conviction needs a 2/3rds majority. 17 republicans > need to vote for it in the Senate. I hope many more will join them, to make a solid public statement that this should never repeat (ignoring their blatant hypocrisy, obvs) and to rid Trump from their leadership once and for all.

Thanks. More detail when you get it please, or a reference/link when available ! -

Why throw the trees away when many of them are still proud and healthy ?! They look great, all lit-up, don?t they ? Ours will be up until March I reckon. Happy Xmas !!

Why complicate things with all this encyclopaedia brittanica nonsense. It?s simple. If your dog won?t heel when you tell it to and has a tendency to approach people, keep it on a lead.

So he?s impeached, a 2nd time. I think that?s the correct terminology, the Senate hearing/vote is after inauguration.
-
So, watching the HoR impeachment voting, it seems clear that it's gonna be a 'Yes' by around 222/211. (In the House of Representatives, not the Senate.)

Cora Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- ..I have never in my time in East Dulwich seen a flood.. Nearest I've ever seen was about 17yrs ago, evening rush hour. I got on train at LB it was sunny. 11mins later got out at ED stn to a torrential vicious downpour, the area before the exit tunnel was flooded ankle deep, along LL (walking towards Bassano, same side) the water flowed down LL like a river and as it hit the corner kerbs of side roads like Chesterfield, it splashed up like happens on rapids. But that's not flooding, the water was clearly heading down hill to the roundabout, and the lowest point near Grove Vale. First time I've been soaked so badly by rain that every inch of my body was absolutely soaked wet.

To save the Republican Party that?s probably part of what they need to do.

I watched the voting unfold in the HoR last night (early hours), whereby each Representative voted whether to request pence to enact the 25th Amendment. It was pro by about 223 / 210 if I remember correctly. Of course, Pence has already said he won?t use the amendment, but this stage was a pre-cursor / alternate path to the now underway impeachment proceedings. Besides the actual voting, Representatives spoke of their reasoning for their individual votes - they only had timed slots between 60secs and 2 1/2mins each - but their comments were interesting. Some of the Republicans voting ?Nay? had ridiculous excuses for why not to proceed with Am.25, even asking ?why would you do this to our president ??, ?this will only cause division?, and ?this is a political move?. !! Needless to say there were some forthright and impassioned responses from Democrat representatives when they had their turns.

Constitutional Club to New Nursery

That had a hardstanding for several vehicles, also large steel concertina access doors so RM vans and lorries could back-in to load up. Drove past today and yes Waveney Avenue was closed off, but alarmingly so was the road that goes down to (what was?) the parking area on the park by the caf?. To me that?s out of order.

Unfortunately, Trump just exposes the degree to which lowest common denominator viewpoints are held. I guess there is an argument that that is a good thing, because at least it is out in the open to a greater extent than it was and we know what we are dealing with. It?s going to be depressing to watch how their ?keep America white? position faces-off with the reality of a rapidly changing demographic in the USA (i.e. perpetual influx of nonwhites).

Comparing Corbin and Trump is literally pointless, they bear no relation whatsoever. Trump is nothing in America without the following of millions of similarly minded mini-trumps, who endorse attacking the capital, are chiefly racist, and would happily see a legally validated election overthrown. So, Cat, Who is evil? If not Trump? You have the whole world to choose from so who is? He is a psychopath and he is evil, possibly not by choice but that?s a relevant, as Trump would say ?it is what it is?. A bit carried away ? Are you having a laugh ?! The guy pisses all over everything he?s near, he can?t function in society without damaging people. Media hysteria ? You?re an apologist for Trump even now. ?I fail to understand how anyone can call Trump evil because they might not like him or agree with him?. That?s because you wrongly assume that I think he is evil because I don?t like him! You are correct, you do fail to understand. So evil was invented when death camps and concentration camps came to be? I don?t think so. Vagina grabbing, misogynist, rapist, paedophile, fraudster, liar, adulterer, blackmailer, bully, racist, manipulator, traitor. He incited riots which directly caused deaths. The media didn?t invent any of the above, but if you want to carry on explaining away all these traits by blaming them on ?the media?, you fill your boots mate. The guy is an evil bastard. keano77 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I?m not trying to insult you I just think you are > getting a bit carried away which is perhaps > understandable given the media hysteria. > > I can see why people call the Nazi concentration > camps evil, or Pol Pot?s killing fields in > Cambodia and many other examples of genocide > worldwide. > > I fail to understand how anyone can call Trump > evil because they might not like him or agree with > him.

Why not just try and keep it nice and polite? If you don?t agree with my comments you could explain why you think they are in accurate. You don?t prove me wrong by insulting me. keano77 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Evil? > > How silly

I do mean to say he is evil, if you know anything different please advise. And what is the point of outlining that this guy had whatever many votes to show his support levels - we all know he?s popular. You seem to be legitimising him via the vote count ? Fact is, there are tens of millions of little trumps in the USA, which is not a good thing. Unless you agree in keeping America white as can be.
-
However many people voted for Trump does not legitimise him or what he stands for, nor their own beliefs. Evil doesn?t become good, just because a number of people want it. keano77 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > There is a major problem over there KK and my > point about Pelosi/the Democrats is that they are > as guilty of fanning the flames over the division > in America as Trump. > > For example, this new attempt to impeach Trump > will only add fuel to the fire. Ha ha Sue ! I think people down there took it easy due their very low infection rates, then with Xmas they messed up. A lesson to us all.
