I am coming from quite an uninformed position here, and have been lucky enough to recently become a father to a healthy boy. What sits uncomfortably for me is that anyone apart from the parents can have the final say on issues relating to the child. It just doesn't sit right with me that a hospital/judge/state can determine a course of action that the parents don't agree with. Really interested to hear others thoughts on this.

I really rate Barclays, their app and online is the bets of the all banks - don't tend to use any branch services but when i have, they have been fine. I used Metro Bank for a business account as it could be opened with one visit whereas with Barclays I couldn't get an appointment for many weeks.

"Girl jobs and boy jobs" is such a needless stick to beat the Tories with, and reflects the worst in British politics; the name calling and frankly playground type bickering that occurs between the parties. Can we actually keep to discussing the policies (as you did with grammar schools and fox hunting)

I recently ordered a battle of ypres coin. It is free if you pay the postage (?2.50). When ordering I was offered about ten other coins that had to be paid for, but chose the "free" one as I liked the design. I was just wondering if these coins have any long term value? Do they become collectibles? Anyone collect them?

I am with Barclays and get more and more impressed with them. Their online offering and app is second to none. My wife got so frustrated with HSBC she came over and is equally impressed. -

I was never really educated on the differences between petrol and Diesel cars, and have owned both. From my own limited reading i can gather that government pushed Diesel cars a while ago and now look as if though they will retract that thinking and maybe even offer a scrappage service for Diesel cars. Are they really more polluting than a petrol? Are there "performance" differences? Is a scrappage scheme a good idea?

It's slabbed over and i am starting from a blank canvas. Rented property so can't really remove slabs.

Spent the weekend removing the weeds and moss from the grouting on our patio. Now looking to make it look less concrete-y. One side of the garden is always in shade but the other gets the sun pretty much all day - any tips or links on making a patio garden interesting? Any cool flowers or planters? Will build up a herb garden as well....
