  1. In. I'm not sure I understand all of the implications enough (financial/social/political) as any "facts" have been spun so hard by both sides that it's impossible to known the truth. I've taken a philosophical view, namely, should we be trying to remain closer to other countries or distancing ourselves from them.....
  2. I echo the points about free weights/squat rack. That area at peak times is always busy yet you will find at least 10 pieces of CV equipment not in use. Makes sense to slightly alter it. That is very individual to my needs however so I woudl imagine a poll or forum of some kind of existing members would provide a more general view. The time it takes to repair equipment is laughable i woudl like to see that improved. The situation with the turnstile is ridiculous. I know of a member who didn't pay membership for a year and was never challenged due to the turnstile situation. It's in their own interest to resolve it and extend it, single file first thing in the morning is unnecessary. Improvements in the consistency of classes would be a bonus. The air con needs addressing ASAP.

  4. Wouldn't it be great if they spoke to the membership base about what equipment/services we would like.....If you have the ear of the horse as well as the mouth could i ask that you whisper that idea....
  5. Well if Dulwich Darling is correct I would like to think that's good news then. Despite being poorly maintained, most of the equipment is of reasonable quality - hopefully they will upgrade some of it. Still not convinced it will happen though.
  6. Where do you get that from Dulwich Darling? I can't imagine that happening at all!
  7. Just general maintenance would be a really good start. They are inevitably turning over a lot of revenue - machines taking 6 months to repair is unforgivable.
  8. Hi Ian, I'd happily also help out with a few nights in Peckham lodge (?) I don't know where or what that is but please pm me if it helps.
  9. I'd start with Lila's as a first port of call...
  10. Any tips - I'm writing mine now - looking for some inspiration past the bog standard....
  11. Is there a hierachy to the belts? Also what does "The Ring Champ" mean?

Ford Escort sport with spoiler. Got 3 points on my second day of having a licence.
  14. A young idiot on a motorbike cutting you up, then staring at you pulling a hand sign only to drive into a parked car (no one was hurt)
  15. "People are not going to an outdoor pool in the Rain . Winter. Heated or not. and wont be going every day. Serious swimmers will go to the baths on Crystal Palace rd. " Serious swimmers will most definitely NOT use the tiny, unclean, overcrowded baths on CPR....
  16. These are incredible and come in a variety of sizes....we use them a lot in our rented flat. http://www.viking-direct.co.uk/catalog/catalogSku.do?id=17024P&PR=QCA&cm_mmc=Google-_-pla_gen_google-shopping_paper-and-printing-_-paper-and-printing-_-17024P&s2m_channel=544&_%24ja=tsid:34770|cid:242833937|agid:16600084457|tid:pla-91678033817|crid:55356844457|nw:g|rnd:10993091681631113214|dvc:c|adp:1o1&gclid=Cj0KEQjwvZq6BRC9kfq2zKfQ_94BEiQAOeUVC0x5KcIvU3pbkAfNTrsX63SfpO2W7aWaUGWp0Qk_HsAaAml18P8HAQ
  17. I'm worse than a novice runner but am trying to get to low body aft levels for purely vain reasons..... Anyone suggest any interesting routes in and around Dulwich...starting at Overhill? Ran through Coxs walk and then along the Horniman last night.....
  18. Otta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Surely most people that are serious about sport / > exercise prioritise comfort and practicality > before style? (not that they don't want to look > good too, otherwise why bother in the first > place). Why are you assuming they aren't comfortable and practical? Maybe p, just maybe they are functional and reflective of current gym style.....

    Diet

There's a lot of quite different claims on here about the topic - all really interesting points. I'm super interested in this topic and am a bit of a geek on it - just love info. Qualified PT and will start a Nutrition course imminently..... Anyone care to reference their sources? I only say this as it is one of the most researched fields out there and the science is constantly evolving - a lot of previously held ideas are now known to be more nuanced than previously believed.
  24. I would love it, if viable.
