  1. Had a terrible experience from Tommi's also. My favourite in London is burger bear. Could be nostalgic, had it after a freezing cold day watching football and just made me feel so much better.....
  2. Any freelance carpet fitters that can also supply the carpet. Simple job with square room, in a rental property but carpet really needs replacing so looking for a good deal.

    New Builds

Very open question and very keen to hear different views. My situation Getting married and will start trying for a baby in the next couple of weeks. Both are in decent jobs and have paid for the wedding ourselves. All the money spent on that will now start to be saved monthly meaning within a year we could get a decent deposit together to fulfil our aim of buying a house. We are currently renting. What to buy We aim to move out of London to be closer to our families - most likely on the commuter belt but anywhere from Kent, Sussex or Surrey. Our dream is a country pad with lots of space but this will prove difficult for our first home. Looking around at the different help to buy schemes available I have noticed 2 things. The help to buy ISA is good, but limits you to a property of under ?250k outside of London and we are in a position to spend a little more. The Equity loan scheme would allow us to buy a bigger house and sooner too but limits us to new builds. Fully apprecaite that this needs to be paid back but would aim to do this within the 5 years so as not to incur interest. Does anyone have experience of buying new builds? Any known pitfalls? Are they like new cars in that they lose a % of value as soon as you move in? Would we expect new builds to become cheaper as the companies have taken a hit on the stock market? Does this make them more appealing? Any insight appreciated - quite daunting as a first time buyer anyway but made harder with the current uncertainty in general.

    GiffGaff

I use GiffGaff and have been really pleased with it.
  10. In. I'm not sure I understand all of the implications enough (financial/social/political) as any "facts" have been spun so hard by both sides that it's impossible to known the truth. I've taken a philosophical view, namely, should we be trying to remain closer to other countries or distancing ourselves from them.....
  11. I echo the points about free weights/squat rack. That area at peak times is always busy yet you will find at least 10 pieces of CV equipment not in use. Makes sense to slightly alter it. That is very individual to my needs however so I woudl imagine a poll or forum of some kind of existing members would provide a more general view. The time it takes to repair equipment is laughable i woudl like to see that improved. The situation with the turnstile is ridiculous. I know of a member who didn't pay membership for a year and was never challenged due to the turnstile situation. It's in their own interest to resolve it and extend it, single file first thing in the morning is unnecessary. Improvements in the consistency of classes would be a bonus. The air con needs addressing ASAP.

  13. Wouldn't it be great if they spoke to the membership base about what equipment/services we would like.....If you have the ear of the horse as well as the mouth could i ask that you whisper that idea....
  14. Well if Dulwich Darling is correct I would like to think that's good news then. Despite being poorly maintained, most of the equipment is of reasonable quality - hopefully they will upgrade some of it. Still not convinced it will happen though.
  15. Where do you get that from Dulwich Darling? I can't imagine that happening at all!
  16. Just general maintenance would be a really good start. They are inevitably turning over a lot of revenue - machines taking 6 months to repair is unforgivable.
  17. Hi Ian, I'd happily also help out with a few nights in Peckham lodge (?) I don't know where or what that is but please pm me if it helps.
  18. I'd start with Lila's as a first port of call...
  19. Any tips - I'm writing mine now - looking for some inspiration past the bog standard....
  20. Is there a hierachy to the belts? Also what does "The Ring Champ" mean?
  21. If you use "map my run" app - you will see loads of 10k routes near you.....

    My first car

Ford Escort sport with spoiler. Got 3 points on my second day of having a licence.
  23. A young idiot on a motorbike cutting you up, then staring at you pulling a hand sign only to drive into a parked car (no one was hurt)
  24. "People are not going to an outdoor pool in the Rain . Winter. Heated or not. and wont be going every day. Serious swimmers will go to the baths on Crystal Palace rd. " Serious swimmers will most definitely NOT use the tiny, unclean, overcrowded baths on CPR....
  25. These are incredible and come in a variety of sizes....we use them a lot in our rented flat. http://www.viking-direct.co.uk/catalog/catalogSku.do?id=17024P&PR=QCA&cm_mmc=Google-_-pla_gen_google-shopping_paper-and-printing-_-paper-and-printing-_-17024P&s2m_channel=544&_%24ja=tsid:34770|cid:242833937|agid:16600084457|tid:pla-91678033817|crid:55356844457|nw:g|rnd:10993091681631113214|dvc:c|adp:1o1&gclid=Cj0KEQjwvZq6BRC9kfq2zKfQ_94BEiQAOeUVC0x5KcIvU3pbkAfNTrsX63SfpO2W7aWaUGWp0Qk_HsAaAml18P8HAQ
