  1. All The Young Dudes - Mott The Hoople
  2. I had the same dilemma once and I solved it by seeking advice from a midwife. I mean who better? There isn't a day goes when they're not calling for it. Anyway large galvanised tub sufficient to cover every ring on the cooker, filled with tap water of course. All rings turned up full blast until a 'rolling boil' is achieved and every cold surface in the house is beaded with condensation. Le voila. Mind once she got the water right she started tearing up my sheets, force of habit she reckoned. I had to lose an Egyptian cotton fitted, but managed to placate her with an old Brentford Nylons valance until the moment passed.

I know you know that AR, but any opportunity to mention MTH just makes my day that little bit better.

  12. A quick browning in a lightly oiled frying pan on a high heat, turn the gas right down and then a long slow cook for half an hour or so, turning occasionally. Cut in half lengthways, place on white bread and douse with HP sauce, if HP is not available then Heinz tomato ketchup on one slice and Colman's English mustard on the other is acceptable. Ketchup on its own is wack. Edited because on reflection my original post of 'Shove them up your @rse?' came across as choleric.
  13. I don't suppose anyone would be good enough to put up a picture of the ten commanments for me? Bit of a cheek I know. Actually, don't worry about it.

It's as if they're going out of their way to work against you, isn't it? You'd think they'd leave a key under the mat so you could help yourself 'as and when', wouldn't you? Not got the ED vibe yet, have they?

  25. Ooh, Solomon's Passage, good spot CS. I'm sure there's more comedy gold to be mined in Solomon's Passage.
